Located in Asheville, the beautiful and recently opened Hampton Inn Asheville – Tunnel Road is located at 204 Tunnel Road. This convenient location serves the residents of Asheville, Arden, Candler, Fairview, Fletcher, Hendersonville, Mills River, Swannanoa, Biltmore Forest, and surrounding areas. British Swim School offers a variety of small group classes to suit the littlest of beginners through to advanced swimmers and adults. Enter the hotel through the main entrance and proceed to the pool area, which is down the main hallway to the left.
Our unique goal-oriented, survival-first program is taught year-round inside this warm hotel pool with a water temperature of 86 degrees. This facility features on deck changing, seating, nearby restrooms and a lobby cafe for snacks and drinks post-swim lesson. Plus, you will work with the area’s best instructors. This convenient location, with its ample free parking, is the perfect destination for your little ones or family to learn to swim with us.
Things To Know Before You Register:
- Enrollment leads to an ongoing membership – we do not have sessions. This membership will be auto-renewed every month.
- You remain enrolled with auto-billing until you provide 30-day notice.
- Tuition: Monthly flat fee that is automatically charged via credit card or bank withdrawal on the 25th of each month for the following month.
- Annual Membership Fee: An annual fee of $49.00 per family is in addition to your monthly tuition, and is charged when you sign up.
- This fee includes a student “Welcome Pack”, with colorful British Swim School swimming bag and a swimming cap. There is no charge for move-up swimming caps at each graduation (limit of one swimming cap per graduation per swimmer).
- Waitlist: No charge but a credit card is required to hold your slot.
- If you are coming for your first lesson, please come at least 10 minutes early for a short introduction.
- Bring a swimsuit and a towel, that’s it! We provide the swim cap in your welcome bag. On deck changing areas are provided for your convenience.
- A parent/guardian must be in the pool area at all times during swim lessons.
- For Tadpole and Swimboree lessons, the parent/guardian is in the water with the child, so please plan accordingly.
- If your child is under the age of 3, they will need to be double-diapered. This is a disposable swim diaper with a reusable swim diaper on top. A diaper changing area is provided for your convenience.

Fee Details
- We do not use fixed sessions, so you can start your enrollment at any time to fit your schedule. Students can move up to the next level as soon as they are ready!
- Classes are 30 minutes in length and include in water and pool deck observation.
- All survival classes, including adults, are conducted in small groups (4:1 student/instructor ratio max, Tadpole and Stroke Development classes 6:1 student/instructor ratio max).
- All programs are non-transferable, and we require 30 days advance notice to withdraw from any class.
- When you initially enroll, your first month’s tuition will be pro-rated based on the number of classes you will receive. If you enroll on the 15th of the month or later, you will automatically be registered for the following month as well.
- New enrollments will be charged an Annual Registration Fee of $49 per family upon enrollment. This fee is good for one year and will be renewed each calendar year that you are an active customer. This fee includes the initial swim cap and all move-up swim caps for each graduation achieved (limit of one swim cap per graduation).
- Private and Semi-Private lessons are available upon request and subject to availability. Please call our office for more information.
We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express. We also accept ACH / Bank Drafts. Your method of payment will be automatically debited around the 20th of every month for the following month’s lessons.
