Amazing experience! Perfect for families and created some unforgettable memories. Although we’ve visited NYC before, we never planned ahead enough to visit the Statue of Liberty. The Crown Tour requires advance planning – we booked our tickets two months ahead to ensure everything went smoothly, and it was worth every penny! Be ready to climb between 200-500 stairs. We skipped the pedestal elevator and ended up walking the whole way. The spiral staircase leading to the crown is a real workout, so make sure to hydrate beforehand, especially since summer temperatures can get intense inside the statue. While the food is on the pricier side, it’s still good. The souvenirs and swag are also fantastic. We’d definitely do it again, but maybe in cooler weather next time!

We booked our tickets about 2 months in advance to make sure we had it done right. Well worth the money. Be prepared to climb 200-500 stairs. We didn't wait for the pedestal elevator and ended up doing all the stairs. The spiral staircase to the crown is a workout so drink water ahead of time (summer is hot under a giant copper lady's dress). Food is a bit pricey, but good. Great souvenirs and swag. Would do it again in cooler months for sure.

Took a boat trip from Pier 40. It was great! Went past the whole of Downtown Manhattan, along the Hudson River, towards the Statue of Liberty. She looked so elegant in the sunshine, and stood tall like the symbol of freedom she is. I didn’t go into the island this time, but definitely will next time.

I'm not entirely sure how you could rate this less than 5 stars - Lady Liberty stands on her island and is a beautiful site to visit.There is a small museum on site that has a lot of 1:1 reproductions that you can touch and interact with that truly give you a feeling of the scale of the statue and they have clean restrooms.The statue itself is fantastic and I do recommend getting a Crown pass ahead of time to get a closer look - sadly, I did not have these passes so my views were all from the ground. Regardless, this was still a great experience and I'm thrilled I was able to be there!

We bought our tickets directly with them, not from the street vendors. So make sure that if you go to visit to get your tickets directly from their ticket office or their QR code by the ships entrance. A ship runs every 20 minutes to and from the island, so you can take it at any time you want. They also have a carousel that we also enjoyed while we waited for the next ship. In the island, the view is amazing. There are lots of seating areas. They also have bathrooms in the gift shop area. The ships also have snacks and bathrooms. The boats seem to move a lot at first, but it is ok once it starts moving.

Surrounded by the Atlantic, the Statue of Liberty is accessible from NY and NJ with ferries. Better to buy tickets way ahead of time and arrive early on the day, as there are security checkpoints to get through. On your way to the island and back, there’s stunning view of NYC downtown and financial district. The ferry ride in itself is an amusing experience.Once you reach the island, there’s the statue of course, there’s a museum, gift shop and a food court. In recent years due to construction the island didn’t have the best appearance, but still the statue standing tall, beaming the hope and dream of America, is so powerful. There are tickets available to get to the top of the pedestal.The gift shop has lots of and lots of Statue of Liberty souvenirs. Some are also NY NJ and USA based. The food court burgers, hot dogs and sandwiches are average, don’t expect much from them. Lots of birds fly around and try to take your food. There poops are all around the outdoor dining area. The only downside of this whole place.

A genuine must see! We had crown tickets - beware the VERY narrow spiral steps (160+ steps) to the crown. (Elevator only available for the pedestal). The crown is a unique and small space at the top and requires special tickets to be purchased. This is not for claustrophobic people as the stairs are very tight, narrow and hot in the summer. The crown viewing area is only fits a few people at a time but is a very unique experience in itself and worth it.The pedestal itself is a wonderful experience and a NYC must do! The ferry ride out offers amazing views and sight seeing of Manhattan, Ellis Island and of course the Statue. Nothing says New York City and the USA than the Statue of Liberty.Make sure to book tickets months in advance as this will sell out during peak tourist season. (Can not book more than 6 months in advance).The museum inside the pedestal is okay, but has been replaced by the MAIN museum behind the statue. We’ve been here numerous times, and this time my partner, his aunt and I didn’t arrange any special tickets to the pedestal or crown. The surroundings around Lady Liberty offered some amazing photos with views of Manhattan, Brooklyn, and Jersey City. The museum offered a deep dive into the statue’s significance and the incredible craftsmanship that went into its creation. The museum was very well done and interesting. It really went into a lot of detail and contained lots of pieces of history. A very moving experience. You could easily spend several hours here. I do think it's a little off-putting how much they charge for entrance to what is supposed to be a memorial (in addition to having a gift shop and lots of kiosks outside). It is kind of tacky in my opinion. I know it costs to run, but still it feels like they're just trying to profit off this tragedy which is kinda gross. Also, TURN DOWN THE AC. I was there for just 2-3 hours on one of the hottest days of the year, so you'd think the AC would feel nice. Wrong. I was shaking by hour 2 I was so insanely cold (and my husband was as well, and he doesn't even get cold easily). Bring a jacket even if it's summer. Omg.

I didn't go in the museum but the outside space was stunning.. so many things to see in the area and the memorial is beautiful. The oculus shopping centre is stunning piece of architecture. Sculptures are cool. Add in squirrels and made one kiwi girl very happy.

I only went to the 911 Memorial Site. I do know that you should get tickets prior to going in to the Museum.The memorial is the most beautiful serene memorial I have ever seen.You would be very surprised at how quiet it is at the sites.I went the day after 9/11 to pay my respects.If you are there please donate to the memorial fund to keep this memorial free and take a wrist band!

This museum was my favorite part of our whole New York trip. I think every American should go at least once. Although it feels eerie and sad at times it is provides an excellent opportunity to learn about the history and importance of that day. It is a well done museum and i love all of the original artifacts.

The 9/11 Memorial Museum was, of course, very solemn. It had a lot of really cool items and artifacts from the attacks and the response, my favorite being the Fire Truck where 11 members of the New York Fire Department bravely gave their lives in their attempts to save those trapped in the towers. It also had a lot of really cool artworks from the aftermath of the attacks, my favorite being the Statue of Liberty crafted with Americana memorabilia.I went on a guided tour, and the tour guide, Daniel, was excellent. He was extremely knowledgeable in the details surrounding attacks, and personable in the way that he relayed the information. I do wish the tour was a little bit longer though.The museum, while excellent, wasn’t nearly as big as I thought it would be. It consisted mainly one large room, filled with a few artifacts. I thought there would be a good bit more exhibiits and items however.Finally, the gift shop was a nice little place. It was expensive, but that was to be expected. I bought a coffee mug, postcards, and a magnet, and it came out to around $40. They als sell water in cartons, which I thought was unique.All-in-all, it was slightly disappointing, but still a worthwhile visit.

We stopped in here on one of our daycations because we have heard so much about it. There is a lot of stuff to see and it’s amazing for real. The history and thought that went in to this museum and all the time they spent to figure out how to make it memorable is great. So many people are there to help if you have any questions and there’s more to see than what I took pictures of. I will have to stop in here again the next time I’m in New York because I feel like I missed some stuff. But overall it was a great experience and will return again.

Extraordinary museum and memorial that captures the sadness and intensity of the most horrific terrorist attack on innocent American lives in the history of the United States.It covers every last detail, minutae, and timeline of events from moments before through to the attack itself and the aftermath. There are thousands of artifacts, recordings, documents, and more. No aspect of the attack is left out - even the 1993 bombing is mentioned in detail to give context to the 9/11 attack.It is a sober, somber place. It is filled with sadness and the feeling of loss and death. It is not a happy place, there is nothing upbeat about any of it, and with good reason. The event heralded a significant cultural shift in this country and this museum and memorial capture it eloquently. It's incredibly intense.Should you bring your children to this? That's a really interesting question. Academically, I believe every child and youth should be educated to this degree about this event. If we do not learn history we are doomed to repeat it. That being said, I don't know if it will resonate in the same way with younger kids. I saw several who were watching the explosions and saying things like "awesome" and emulating it with their hands. It's interesting to see the diminished importance, and makes me think of the Pearl Harbor memorial and the generations that have visited with an academic interest versus the Golden generation feeling the gut wrenching sense of loss.I recommend going to this at least once. Experience it and take it all in. It will stick with you. It will make you sad, and angry, and wonder how anybody could go through with something so obviously evil. It's necessary that every American citizen understands the lengths that people are willing to go to destroy our nation and our way of life. This memorial and museum will bring that to life.

Is a must go place for anyone visiting NY. A place for everyone to remember the one's that perished on 9/11. The museum is good learning experience what really happened that day. The metal debris of the structures of twin towers are featured, including first responders fire trucks and the remains of others responders gears. All the victims names and photos are posted on the wall. Youll get goosebumps. A history we all should know.

The High Line is an open park with a very unique structure.The Park flows in between buildings where you can walk, stroll, jog, take a break, or admire artwork all at once.The park goes along the west side of the island, near the shore with the Hudson River, where you can go all the way from the new Artistic structure The Vessel, and finish at the Chelse Market (which is another lovely place to go).Independently of the season, I believe The High Line Park is a must-go and experience yourself kind of place.

What a great example of imagination, resourcefulness and motivation to convert a not so nice city structure into something that enhances the whole environment. The high line is now a park, where train lines used to bring cargo into the city. Dwindling from the competition from trucks, the trains disappeared and the structure was left on its own. Destined for demolition, citizens saw the wild gardens that it now contained and got together and saved it into what it is today. A beautiful place to enjoy urban New York. It's a place to walk and enjoy the small urban wilderness, as well as the urban NY, quite a unique combination.

Walked the whole stretch. I did it during a weekend and, while it was packed most of the time, there were times I was almost completely alone. Overall it was quite an enjoyable experience.An interesting combination of nature and urban landscapes, in the middle of one of the largest cities in the world.The architecture of some of the buildings that surround it is also quite interesting. This highline was great. There are not many free attractions around these days and to be able to walk through the buildings in a nice green space was fantastic. It didn't take too long to walk from top to bottom even though it was quite busy on the day. There are nice areas to stop and rest

Love how they keep switching the art installations every season. It's a pleasant (tho slower) way to get from Chelsea market to Hudson Yards. A bit too crowded for a "mindful walk" as the placard to the High line likes to promote.

One of the best walks in Manhattan! No trip is complete without walking the high line, very well maintained, amazing views everywhere, lots of crowds near the evening, can get a bit chilly but worth it, there are also bathrooms along the way, many places to enter or exit the high line along the way so you don't have to walk all of it.

Definitely worth the walk! The view of the city and the art were beautiful. The garden all along the walk helped taking some distance and a break from traffic. Plenty of opportunities to just seat down and rest. Highly recommend!

More pedestrianised areas and greener spaces even if it's an old elevated train track.We had an amazing walk we had on a really nice day. There weren't too many people on it which was great. We were able to stop off at the Chelsea market too for some food.

Love walking the High Line but it can get so crowded on certain days, like the weekends. Sardines in 2 lines. However, love all the greenery and the art scattered through out. Lots of places to sit and relax and several viewpoints. There are also a few bathrooms. Different access points by elevator or stairs make it easily accessible.Couldn't get enough of the newest art sculpture, the gigantic Dinosaur pigeon! It's so perfectly New York, it's a mascot! It's so lifelike and detailed. A must see! I hope they make a giant rat or squirrel next.. these are NYC's iconic animals!

A fantastic breathing hole in the bustling city. There are plenty photo opportunities on the way. And many beaches to sit and enjoy a cup of coffee or lunch.

A fantastic old railway line converted into a walking area. you walk a few blocks above the streets. great views, a piece of NYC history and a nice way to walk around the intersection between Edge and Chelsea market.

A nice walking trail. It was converted from an abandoned train track which was constructed in the 1930s and was scheduled for demolition in the 1990s. Its name (high line) suggests that NYC’s skyline could be seen from here, but keep the expectations low as most of the track parts are in between buildings - not much of NYC can be seen. However, one could admire some of the floras of NYC. Suggest to avoid this on a sunny day, or when the weather is very hot as there is not much shelter along the way. We went here after some light rain which made it a perfect weather to walk on this track.

Great walk for exercise and to experience nature in the city. Fabulous views all around. From city buildings to the tracks to the water. Walked from Hudson Yards to Chelsea market, but a section was closed so we took the stairs down and ended up just walking the rest of the way to Chelsea. But the part we did walk was fun. I recommend as a great NYC activity to do. Chelsea Market was really great too!

I really enjoyed this park. Great spot for pictures. Really nice buildings around. You get a great view of the vessel which is at one of its entrances. Definitely worth stopping by it when in New York.

Absolutely stunning! I was here 20 yrs ago, there have been many upgrades and exhibits added. The building itself is gorgeous! We went up at night this time to check out the city lights, what an amazing view, breathe taking! It was not busy at all 10:00pm so we could take our time and soak in the views from all directions, wow!Up top on the outside observation deck was the most peaceful and quiet time I had during my stay in NYC. Highly recommended! You must do the Empire State building while in NYC.

A worthy visit in the heart of the urban jungle, this mainstay in pop-culture is beckoning.There is a museum along with multiple photo opportunities as part of the tour prior to reaching the observation deck. Take advantage of these.The views amongst all the skyscrapers are impressive, and lend a different perspective on the city.I found pricing to be less agreeable than One World Observatory, which also takes you higher.

I first had this impression of not doing a dedicated viewpoint cause "How different can it be?". But actually made this last minute as my sister prompted me. Definitely worth it. Not a huge fan of all the exhibits on the way to the top of the building. I was only interested in the views.The best past is that the viewpoint is in a balcony. So you can get truly magnificent photos and locations in Chicago and similar has a glass in the middle. Breathtaking views. Highly recommend.

Absolutely incredible views on NYC, I don't know if it's worth the extra to go a few floors higher. Everyone takes a viewing angle quickly, but if you wait you'll eventually get a spot to soak up every side. Once you're there, take your time, you'll notice details like the sounds, smells, and it takes a minute to really appreciate the scale of the city 🏙️🌆. Highly recommend!

What an amazing experience! When going in the lifts both up and down, don’t forget to look up to see the movie on the ceiling. The views from the top were just amazing, a definite must see. It is very busy, a big tourist attraction, so we took the stairs where we could, much faster than waiting in line.

Iconic. Nothing like it. You have to experience New York for yourself, especially in December. Bustling! I love the Empire State Building, but I actually had the idea of observing it from Hudson Yards and the new observation deck there. That was a good decision because I could see the Empire State Building, the Chrysler Building, Times Square, and all the way to the Statue of Liberty. The entire skyline of the city that never sleeps lit up at night! It was amazing. 100% recommend. The image with the well-lit building entrance shows the observation deck site in Hudson Yards. Purchasing tix in advance is recommended, especially during busy tourist times.

What an experience. As you go through each level you are met with so many cool images and artifacts and paintings and drawings and interactive stations and the view gets better and better as the levels go up. And then the top, the top was breathtaking. Just taking it all in from the view, seeing the dense concrete jungle of new york city, the cars the bustling. It really was new york city in the flesh for all to see from up there. I would reccommend this for anyone and everyone, I can't believe what I saw and just staring into the city gives you a mere sense of human capabilities in the modern age.

Had a hard time choosing between this and top of the rock, but wasn’t disappointed once I got up to the top of the Empire State Building. The view up there was amazing. I bought the 630pm ticket, hardly any queue when I got there at 615pm, I caught the day view and stayed till almost 9pm to catch whole evening view! Was a well made decision, because crowd started to pour in at around 730-8pm. This was mid June when sunset is around 830pm. When I finally left the place, there is long queue outside the building entrance, so do go before 7pm.

Visited: 11/07/2023Was interesting to visit another iconic building in New York. It was relatively quiet when we arrived which was nice. Entrance was full of celebrity photos who had visited, and model statues of the building. Really modern and posh looking. Scanned the e-tickets to get in and off we went into the museum section of the building learning about the concept, construction, and grand opening. Some of the photos are heart-stopping, especially during construction with no safety equipment, they needed hearts of steel for it!The views of the New York skyline were lovely from the top and it was nice that you were able to walk all 4 sides of the building for 360 views. Whilst it isn’t the tallest building in the area anymore, you can enjoy it as it was and how amazing it must have been to have been in the tallest spot of New York back when it was first built.Only downside was trying to find the public entrance to get into the building. We were on the opposite side, so had to walk around the entire block to find the entrance. It isn’t very well signposted on the ‘wrong’ doors either.

Honestly, this is the greatest observatory deck in NYC! This building was everything I ever imagined and dreamed of. This building is the definition of NYC. I visited the building twice once for the sunrise and then once for the sunset. Both times of day were absolutely amazing! I will definitely be back and highly recommend anyone who is visiting NYC for the first time like I did!

It is so amazing to visit this iconic tower that used to be the tallest building in NYC for a long time and there’s a huge list of movies that used this location in their scenes. It’s also home to many of the largest companies in the world like LinkedIn, etc.We visited the building on a Saturday and it was very well-organized. We had bought our tickets online and waited in the lineup to get on the elevator and get to the top of the building. It has a great view of Manhattan, Central Park, World Trade Centre, Financial District, Brooklyn and Manhattan Bridge. Very unique experience and a must-try.

Many high tower in NYC but….Empire State Building is only one and The one-you have to visit🛕🇺🇸💜It’s spectacular from the beginning to the end. The art deco style is so impressive even it was never my favourite style I fall in love with it. The elevator and the view from there is just outstanding. We book the ticket for early 9 morning and it was perfect as after 10am start to be little crowded (yes we were there more than 2 hours as was so good🤪). But there is plenty space out there and mostly everyone was super nice so definitely you will get your perfect picture 😃Love it love it love it

Awesome experience!!! Incredible building! The museum and and Art Deco styling throughout is so cool. I highly recommend making it a must do when visiting NY city. We bought the General ticket which included the museum and the observation decks on the 86 and 102 floors. Beautiful day and spectacular views!!! All the staff were professional, helpful, and friendly. A huge Thank You to all for making it such a great experience for me and my family. -It’s always been one of my favorite buildings, so happy I finally got the chance to see it in person.-And FYI, the ticket buying process was easy/user friendly and the times were convenient, we practically walked in, bought tickets, and started the tour.Thanks again to all who helped us have such a great time. Instead, it is impressive both during the day and at night.You can take advantage of the observation deck, from which you can admire the New York City skyline.It is definitely worth seeing in person!

2024-July. We bought our tickets online and printed them from home.We arrived at the building 10 minutes before our allotted time. There was a line at the entrance because everyone goes through an airport-like security, but it moved quickly.This place was amazing! They really improved the experience and all the staff was nice.The place was clean! There's a restroom everywhere. Not too much of a wait going down.The green screen photo and movie clip were $35 for all 4 printed photos all digital photos and 1 movie clip.This is an important landmark that you should not miss if you're in New York City!Have fun!! 😍

Not only do you get to stand in the open air on top of the Empire State Building, but also you get to experience the history of the building process through panoramic screens showing footage of workers on scaffolds building the famous Empire State Building, You walk through a tunnel displaying movie screens of several movie clips the Empire State Building was featured in. Many opportunities to take a picture beside artifacts and gorgeous photography of the building. You get to see a much smaller replica of the Empire State Building. And nothing compares to being in the open air on top of the Empire State Building hearing the horns beep, feeling the breeze of the wind, looking down watching all the yellow taxis driving here or there. I’m taken back to Jessica Lang and King Kong. The building has so much romanticism and is the heart of New York City.Of all the buildings you must see or tour this is number one in New York City.The skyline is pretty incredible. One of the first places I visited the moment I stepped into New York City. Beautiful architecture and this terminal is huuuuuuge! There are restaurants and coffee shops plus retail stores. You have to experience the part where you can talk and hear to someone from one end to another like a walkie talkie. Let me know when you discover it. Another interesting fact is that you and your travel partner can stand on opposite corners of the arched entryway and speak against the wall. 2024-July, this place is huge!There were lots of food choices but lacks tables, chairs, and benches to sit on.There were restrooms and water bottle refill stations!We rode a train were we didn't know was not part of our MTA ticket, but the lady on the train was very helpful and issued us a ticket without going all the way up the ground floor.The train was clean and the seats were comfortable!The Grand Central Terminal was amazing! Besides the architecture, the engineering to make this building possible, boggles the mind.I could not figure out how many levels and tracks come into an underground switch yard.Gorgeous building, so much to see with clean Rest Rooms and good dining options.We passed through a couple of times, and all the employees were extremely helpful guiding us to the right track.Even if you are not taking a train or subway, step inside and see it for yourself, truly amazing.

And the marble staircases, and the chandeliers, and the kinetic energy of scurrying commuters coming & going. New York really knows how to put the "Grand" into their "Central Terminal"!

They could use more restrooms, and they are not easy to locate.They do have a food court and small bar, which is nice while you wait to catch your train.I didn't see a lot of security but still felt safe.Their are homeless around that bathe in the sinks.

I’m not going to write a book on this because well it’s still a train station. They have a food area with tasty options. They actually havea good variety of food for everyone. We stopped by Shake Shack and that was the busiest one. Train station was clean and there were places to sit and eat.

A warehouse with niche display of planes with many staircases up to access their interior. On the weekdays, despite being largely empty, they had many knowledgeable members to further explain the nuanced details.The flight simulator was well worth it.There are many flights nearby, so many opportunities to capture their departure and landing.

Finally had some family over and decided it was time.A very good place to spend some time, full of interactive things and historical pieces from the wars of old and the history of long island.It doesn't even take too long to see a lot of stuff. Went to experience the flight on Saturday July 27, 2024 in AT-6D. “Dave” was my pilot. I must say he’s an amazing person and a very seasoned pilot. Made the flight extraordinary.The staff in Museum is super friendly and knowledgeable. I’m extremely impressed with “Mike”. Very patient and explained many facets of the planes, along with all the history inside facility.Highly recommend bringing family and kids there and definitely suggest a flight.

Sheldon was an incredible tour guide and super knowledgeable. The whole place was full of amazing aircraft in flying condition! A ton of history in your backyard!

The pleasure was in three parts. The conversations, stories and warmth of the volunteers before the flight were welcomed and interesting. The flight in this vintage plane over Long Island was long over due and memorable. Thanks, Dave. The after-flight experience was the museum, a class collection of aviation material. Treat yourself. Great place to see some old school war planes. The best part , gentlemen there that have the incredible stories that go with the planes.🛩️✈️

This was a nice day out for my grandson and I. He is a big history buff. He totally enjoyed the static model displays. He liked the fact that you could go inside a lot of the aircraft and displays. A great time was had, and I would do it again. The only thing this place should have and doesn't is handicapped parking. The walk from where I had to park to the front door was a daunting task. I hope they can do something about this in the near future.

They offer many events that showcase the history and display the amazing aircraft they have on hand.The museum is open from Wednesday to Sunday and is manned by knowledgeable volunteers that provide so many details and facts regarding the museum and its exhibits.We have been here many times and have learned new things every time. To the volunteers and our veterans, we thank you for your service.

One of the most unique and interesting Air Force museum I visited. It’s located right next to an airport as EVERY plane exhibited can fly. Staffs are passionate and are very willing to tell you all about it.You are allowed to get hands on some older generations of aircrafts and turrets.Many libraries provide free entrance for this museum.

It’s a nice museum. The volunteer tour guides are friendly and professional. The collection is nice. The kids like playing on the displays.

Very nice place for recalling the days of WWII and Republic Aircraft. You can find some famous airplanes such as C47,B25, P51,P40,A10, etc.

I have always passed this museum but never went in. Today I finally went to the museum. It was such an amazing experience. From the moment I stepped into the place all the tour guides were so welcoming and informative. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and I learned so much. There are many planes that are on display that still fly today!

We had a tour by Steven. A wonderful veteran of service and an amazing American. We recommend this museum highly. Absolutely one of a kind.

Awesome museum! We had a great time. Arnold gave us an amazing tour and shared some wonderful information. We came from New Jersey and it was definitely worth a day trip!

Best aviation experience ever! Our tour guide was awesome and I felt the passion he had for aviation. I learned about Grumman and the role that women played during WW2 was an eye opener and this is not taught in school, of which it should be! An experience I will never forget, as an aviation enthusiast it was a dream come true.

Kids and I had a great time here in this museum. Our tour guide Nick was very knowledgeable. I highly recommend taking the free tour. Frank took kids on a very enjoyable simulator ride. You must be 12 and over to go on the simulator though. If you're looking for a few hours to spent with kids this is a must do.

My son and I really enjoyed this place. The planes were in great shape and well taken care of and you could enter a couple of them. Leone was an amazing guide and Frank was a great simulator instructor. If we go back to the area, we will be sure to visit again.

Awesome huge LED billlboards all around. A must see at night if you visit New York. Busy and crowded but that's part of the fun.

The tourist magnet of New York City! Lots of fun to visit, visually stunning with all the digital advertising on the buildings. Lots of shopping and some chain restaurants as well as food carts. Lots of good smells and happy people looking around in wonder. I fully enjoyed myself.

Alot of stores and places to buy stuff. They have a store that has nothing but anime action figures. A Hershey chocolate store as well as mms. So many different options and restaurants. They don't call it the city that never sleeps for nothing.

Despite it being an ingenious ploy to get us to take pictures of ads and stare at ads and share ads all over the internet, it is very pretty. Shapes and colors. I love being a pawn in big companies marketing schemes.

And a proof that this city never sleeps. Good place for shopping time spent enjoyment exploring experiences new things in life.

The busiest place we visited in NYC. Everything is larger than life and so much to absorb.Do watch out for the hustlers selling questionable merchandise and those selling professional photographs. There seemed to be a swarm of people dressed up as characters, charging to be in your photo.The 3D billboards were awesome and hopefully show up well in the videos posted.We enjoyed the candy store, looks small, Huge basement. What trip to Times Square would be complete without a hot dog, it was good, not sold on the red onion sauce, prefer raw onions.Be sure to visit, leave plenty of time in your schedule and just soak it all in.We will visit again during our next visit.

We spent 5 days in Time Square 22-27th of Dec. We had a great time but will probably stay out of Time Square so close to the holidays and just go in and visit. Getting back to our hotel at night was horrible. So many people. That said, it was an amazing experience, and memories will last a lifetime!! There was so much to do and see. Definitely will be back yearly or at least every other.

Time square is a tourist trap, but one that will still be on many people's bucket lists for years to come. Which was the only reason we went to show my younger brother it. We went after a terenchal down pore, causing the painted pad area to become slick, which made it difficult for my brother, who has a mobility disability to need support while walking. It was also the busiest I have ever experienced it, but it was also a Saturday after the 4th of July, so that is to be expected. Will I go again, yes, but it's really not all it's cracked up to be. The stores lining it are the real draw, but they also jack up the prices as many are going to pay it without a second thought. A lot of pickpockets, I happened to pass by two sets of officers talking with someone having something stolen from them.

Gets busier by the minute. Its a good place if you love crowds and performances and people just taking pictures and performers dressed as superheroes but you have to pay them. Its an amazing experience for tourists. There are restaurants and you can do shopping amd etc.

We visited Times Square during the day, it's an incredible experience. Even under the bright daylight, the massive digital screens are mesmerizing, filling the area with vivid colors and dynamic advertisements that grab your attention from every angle.The energy here is palpable, with crowds of people moving through the square, creating a lively and exciting atmosphere.The red steps are a perfect spot to take it all in. From there, you can watch the world go by, surrounded by the iconic sights and sounds of this bustling hub. It's a great place to sit for a moment, snap some photos, and feel the pulse of New York City.

Time Square is a big tourist honeypot and I understand why folk are drawn there. It’s very similar to Piccadilly on a grander scale but personally not for me. Hotel are very convenient but expensive. Greenwich Village for us next time but do go and see.

Always bright always fun. A place that lighten ups your mood. So many things to do and stores to go for every age. Great food options too, be it street food or restaurants. Love the vibe.

This place is still such a sprawling and vibrant area up until late at night.The lights, the atmosphere, the urban shows...It is a MUST-STOP-AT zone if/when in Manhattan!You always end up buying useless yet cool crap from the street vendors!

We had an amazing time here and would highly recommend it to anyone considering visiting! We recently visited on a Friday evening just before sunset and caught the most spectacular views. The observation deck was busy, but there was still enough room to walk around and take unobstructed pictures. The weather was beautiful and the air was crisp. It can get windy up there but it's certainly refreshing on a hot day. Everything was clearly labeled making it easy to navigate, and there were friendly employees always nearby to tell you where to go - this was greatly appreciated. Your ticket will have a specific entry time on it, so just show up at that time to avoid waiting in line. We visited several observation decks during our NYC trip, and to our surprise, Top of The Rock was our best experience!

Top of the Rock is a great site to view New York from above. I thought it was good value for money versus some of the other summits. The situation is great and you can both see Central Park and the Empire State very well.I would certainly consider it again for any future NY trips.

Top of the rock gave you a good view of the city, the decks are smaller than Empire State but tickets are cheaper for Rockerfeller.We booked in advance, entry was quick and easy and efficient. We had entry at 8.30pm and it was very busy, it may have been because the sun was setting at that time.Would I do Top Of the Rock again, probably not. But if you are on a budget or a larger group like us (5 of us) then yes it's a good trip for keeping costs down.

Such a stunning view. Absolutely gorgeous view of the Empire State Building and Central Park which was spectacular. Visited at sunset and was in awe of how the skyline looked with a beautiful pink sky. Also done the beam which I would recommend. In comparison to the edge which I done two days later this was many times better in my opinion. Would love to go back next time I visit the city.

Beautiful building.Stunning views.Personally, I enjoyed the look at central park AND the experience of seeing the city from top of the Rock one day and World trade center the next.Top of the Rock has 3 viewing decks. All decks are a bit different, and worth the visit.There are some gimmicks with taking a photo on a steel beam. Not so interesting to me.Only drawback was the messy experience of getting tickets and into the elevators. Jeez what a mess ... website was soo slow I gave up, and then we were in line forever for the tickets while the elevators were running empty. 10 minutes with a process engineer would work wonders.

So far the best rooftop observatory I have been in Manhattan, Views are incredible gorgeous, 3 floors of full of fun, a coffee shop and food was delicious and drinks were refreshing and tasty. I have to say that… if you want the best view of Manhattan, Top of the rock is the perfect place. Building itself is an icon for New York. Can’t wait to come back again to this rooftop but now I will do the sunset time.

The reason I chose this place is because Summit One was fully booked, and I wanted to see the sunset view during our trip to New York.At this price point, it was amazing to see Central Park from above, the Empire State Building, and other notable buildings.I didn’t regret it and stayed until it got dark, taking a couple of pictures here.I would recommend it again, 9/10.

Amazing views and is insanely iconic. Would highly recommend if you’re visiting New York City for the first time or just visiting! It’s a staple and get amazing views of the Empire State Building, one world trade centre and Central Park. You can also get views of Times Square. An iconic place that you need to visit.

The top of the rock is an absolute must do when in the city. Whether you’ve done it before or it’s your first time, I will always recommend going again. Once you’re up you can stay as long as you like, and it is one of the best views of the city. It really makes you feel so small in the best way, and you can observe all the little things going on in the hustle and bustle of the city. It’s really worth your money if you purchase the city pass, because you can see multiple attractions for the cost of 1 or 2 essentially. This is also an observation deck that’s beautiful any time of day. The staff were so funny and efficient, and the views are phenomenal.

We enjoyed the view on all three levels. The Beam experience was incredible, felt a bit scared when a gust of wind came over. Can’t imagine what the original construction workers went through without all the security measures in place today. The Rock offers a great view of the Empire State Building, of The Peak and of Summit. We were fortunate to watch the Macy’s 4th of July fireworks on the Hudson.

Me and my girlfriend have visited the Top of the rock in the beginning of September, and here comes the first recommendation, it was my second time in NYC in September and the weather was perfect. Not too hot, not cold, most of the days were sunny. Great timing to be in the concrete jungle. We have visited couple of observation decks in New York and Top of the rock belongs to the best ones without any doubts. It not the highest point to see the Manhattan from, but in my opinion gives you the best view of the Empire State building. So don't hesitate to stop by! And last but not least I would like to point out our guided tour around the Rockefeller center itself. We had absolutely the best tour guide one can wish for. Guillermo is exactly that passionate person whom you want to listen to interestingly talk about how the center was built, who actually Rockefeller family was (I mean still is :)), what all the Art Deco features mean and much more. It was absolutely splendid! Definitely don't miss this opportunity and if possible, schedule a tour with Guillermo, you won't regret it!

This is hands down my favorite viewing platform in NYC! The first level offers a 360-degree view behind glass, but the upper deck, accessible by stairs or elevator, is an open balcony with an even better view—ideal for taking photos without the glass in the way. It’s the perfect spot to look down at Central Park and admire the city’s skyscrapers. However, it gets very crowded at sunset, with people arriving 1.5 to 2 hours early for a front-row view. At other times, finding a spot is much easier. The only downside is the wait—elevator service can be slow, and it typically takes 35–45 minutes to get to the top and even longer to come down, which can be frustrating!

Incredible views but inescapable crowds that don't move.We visited about 45 minutes before sunset. The sun was low in the sky and made for a nice view. However, people were basically camping.. a few rows deep... which made it impossible for our smaller kids to get a look off most of the building.The layout of the second level observation deck is also poorly designed.. as the crowd gathers to try to get a view of the sunset, it blocks the narrow passage you have to take to get to the exit. I observed nobody working to keep that area clear to allow for easy movement.Getting a view from the third level was a joke.. it's about the size of a postage stamp and the layers of people posted around the perimeter for the long haul made it impossible, even for the adults, to catch any meaningful view.That all said, it was a great view and a nice way to kick off our week in the city. Just expect the immovable crowds and maybe try to visit at a less busy time if you have littles.

Beautiful views at sunset. Bit of a wait to get to the upper deck, and take a lot of patience with you at this time because it’s extremely popular. Totally worth it to soak in the city lights from downtown to Central Park and further. Probably the best view of the Empire State Building in the City.

A classic tourist activity in NYC. The short film at the beginning was a bit cheesy, but the view from the top is absolutely breath taking.When you first arrive, don’t spend too much time taking photos on the lower floors. Head straight to the top outdoor area for the best photo opportunities—it’s likely you’ll get much better shots up there.At $46.80 (at the time of this review), we found the price a bit steep. However, if you’re visiting from far away, like Europe or Asia, it’s definitely worth experiencing Manhattan from such a spectacular vantage point.

Absolutely world-class. The theatre itself is a masterpiece. We attended the Great GATSBY musical, and it was phenomenal. World class performance by everyone, awesome stage elements, story, music, singing/voices just about everything was entertainment pur. This show was worth every penny. So glad we went for this show.

We saw The Great Gatsby and it was amazing. Our seats were in row Q in the lower level at the center of the stage.The theater has an old fashioned look, which fits perfect to this musical and creates great impressions.Only the bar was overpriced and served all drinks in plastic cups with lids, which we did not like.

We came to see The Great Gatsby. Absolutely phenomenal show. Talented performers, beautiful costumes, amazing set design, and of course, a classic story. One of the best Broadway shows we've seen.

One of the glitziest theatres in Broadway. Recently watched The Great Gatsby which was an absolute delight! Great acoustics that amplified the actors’ performances. Seats are placed strategically for maximum viewing pleasure. Staff was organized, polite, and accommodating.

1st TIME HERE 9/25/24 saw Harry Potter and the Cursed Child🙌🏾🙌🏾My date, and I were blessed with tickets but no matching seats😞ALAS!! ADDIE TO OUR RESCUE🥹The staff there was so nice about trying to accommodate our dilemma,and the manager Addie made it happen with such professionalism and joy. I am truly grateful for those who live for helping others💚The show was a blast!!! The special effects and actors made my first time something to remember for years to come and me most excited for my next visit. 😄

Gorgeous theater! I haven’t been before but was so impressed with the interior decor and preservation. We saw the new musical “The Great Gatsby” and were in the rear mezzanine; row F, seats 104-106 on the far left (when facing the stage) and the view was not obstructed!

We saw the Great Gatsby, and it was an experience of a lifetime. 🥲 such a beautiful and historical theatre, and the architecture blew me away. This is the first show we've ever seen on Broadway, and it was like a dream. A truly beautiful production.

My sister and I were lucky enough to watch The Great Gatsby here last night and all I can say is, WOW. Simply outstanding. I haven’t been blown away by a production like this in a long time. The cast led by Eva and Jeremy were absolutely incredible. The songs had such a high production value and just left you breathless. You could hear the glee and gasps of joy from audience members throughout the play who simply could not contain their amazement. Now THIS is theatre.

Had a lifetime experience watching Lion King at Broadway! Exciting play! Exotic ambience , disciplined and appreciative crowd, well behaved ushers and the play itself was something out of this world! Truly amazing evening!

This was my first Broadway show and it was AMAZING!Wicked is the untold true story of the witches of Oz, explains how Elphaba became the Wicked Witch and Glinda became the Good Witch (definitely love their friendship). This show gives you hope.The show runs 2 hours and 45 minutes with one 15-minute intermission.

Watching a play on Broadway is an immersive and unforgettable experience. From the moment you step into the theatre to the final applause, every moment is filled with magic, talent, and the unmistakable energy of New York City. It’s an experience that enchants, inspires, and stays alive in the memory for a long time.

If you are someone who loves big shows, The Great Gatsby is a perfect musical for you. Fireworks, colorful lights and sequins. If you’ve watched the movie, it was exactly like it! The stage design was great and the cast were amazing. The seat on the rear mezzanine was a great choice, I could see everything very clearly and it was relatively cheap!

Not much else to say other than amazing, it’s such a nice classic looking theater, like the most basic possible Broadway theater (fits the name I guess lol) like all red and gold. And it’s really roomy I will say that the seats are really comfortable— obviously I was in the front, so I can’t confirm but it looked like it would also be a good view even from the back of the mezzanine. Small as in there’s not a huge amount of seats (I think), and also big as in comfortable and roomy and the stage is beautiful. I’m extremely happy that I got to see THIS show here, too :)Also, if you’re someone who is interested, they do actually do box seats here.

Came here with a family of 4 to watch Great Gatsby. Overall, the production was amazing. The musical offers brilliant songs and the actors all play their role very well. The only issue is the line for drinks during intermission is very long. Also, if you need to use the bathroom, make sure to rush to the bathroom to beat the crowd. Overall, the theater is great.

Great place to visit and bring kids to experience. The prices are reasonable my advice is to get the one day wrist band. FYI. The staff are very helpful.The restrooms are clean and well kept. There are lots of parking available. Bring beach wear there are water rides and regular rides, also sneakers are a must lots of walking. Arrive early lines for favorite rides may get long. The staff are very professional and helpful. Don't plan any other activities for said day 😘💖 it's an all day event and please get lots of rest the night before. I can't speak for everyone but my experience was truly an amazing and incredible adventure. I will definitely be returning sometime in the future.

Came here Sunday for a birthday party always have a good time at Adventureland. This is a Long Island staple it has definitely gotten better over the years. The rides are fun for all ages. The games are fun as well but a little pricey. the security guard Bob was wonderful very nice and welcoming. My only gripe is at the food. Isn’t the best in my opinion could use some work other than that I’d recommend family coming here to spend the day or even if you wanna have a birthday party this is a great location.

The line to get in even for those that bought tickets is absolutely too long and unacceptable. We're in line right now and from speaking to a family on the line near the entrance, it's going to be at least another HOUR before we get in.We got here at 11am, which is when they open. It is now 12:30 and we're not even halfway through the line.It's awful customer service to not warn families--many of whom like us carefully planned this outing and took time off work--in advance so they don't waste their time.Unless you like waiting hours to enter a park you already paid for, do your kids a favor and don't come here.And if we don't get in by 1pm,which is 2 HOURS after we parked, I want a full refund for my purchase today and an apology for turning what should be a fun day for my two boys into a terrible one.

Highly recommend to bring your kids here! The only minor issue is pricing for food and drinks but either way it’s an amusement park so it’s known to be a little overpriced but for the kids it’s worth it! Family friendly of course and cute Train ride that goes all around the park. My nephews love the bumper cars!

One of the best places in Long Island to spend your day with kids has many rides suitable for every age, but you now have to pay for entry regardless of whether or not you intend to go on any rides. You can check ticket prices from below link;https://adventureland.us/tickets-pricing/The food court offers many options, and you can buy drinks and ice cream from stalls throughout the park. However, mornings are busy, so you'll have to wait in line for rides. If you go after 4 pm on a weekday, there will be fewer crowds, and you likely won't have to wait in line.

Adventure Land is an awesome family outing. The rides are great, especially for younger kids between 3 and 10. There are many rides for children to entertain themselves, and adults can accompany their children by riding next to them or sitting beside them. The park is open from 11 am to 10 am. If you arrive after 8 pm, the cost is $25

Great family fun. Went early on Easter 2024. Best weather and not crowded. Stayed like 4 hrs.

Took grandsons (3 & 5 yo) for a day at the amusement park and wasn't disappointed. Plenty of rides/activities for kids their age, and some more exciting rides for older ones. Manageable size made a 3-4 hour visit worthwhile and there were no lines at the rides.The abundance of games and arcades will tempt you to pull out your wallet for non-inclusive activities, but if you focus on the rides you can keep those bucks in your wallet. Also a picnic lunch and snacks will save on the overpriced food offerings. Overall a very good experience.

Went on opening day Nice place & clean. $39.95 adult little pricey to enter even if you're not using rides. Free parking & plenty of space. Food was good $4.88 slice of pizza $17 4 chicken fingers, small fries & a small soda . Overall fun day for the family & kids.

Great place for kids or families, lots of interesting rides, delicious (but a bit expensive) food, great atmosphere. Overall a good place to relax with kids. On weekdays in the summer there are a lot of children from the camp, long lines but they pass quickly.

It has been over 20 years since I last was at Adventureland and I was expecting it to be dated and run down but was pleasantly surprised at home clean and up to date they have kept it. I definitely plan on bringing my kids back again in the future.

Love this place. My family and I have been coming for years. This weekend we went for a birthday party but the pizza that they served was overcooked. Not the tastiest. I will continue to come for the rides. After we have our fun however we will eat elsewhere. Prices here are a bit on the pricey side

The Long island Adventureland is an amusement park in Farmingdale, New York, located on Route 110 Broad Hollow Road Adventureland has been Long Island's main amusement park opened around 1962 and still serves as a main long island attraction. Give them alot of credit for holding a business during desasters pendemic times. And as a local business supporters, dont mind to promote them with NY love. They have approximately 28 rides and roller coasters. There are a total of twenty eight rides, two of which are roller coasters and three are water rides. Adventureland is opened seasonally and mostly busy during summer especially weekends in March, April, May, September and October and all days in the summer. Adventure is great at accommodating special school pricing for local and distant schools in the state. Certainly fun to visit.

Park has changed a lot since I was here last. You are now required to pay for entry regardless of whether or not you intend on getting on any rides. This replaces the old pay per ride using tickets or the pay one price band. So be wary of that. There were a couple new and bigger rides added from my last visit. Bigger rollercoasters now? Nice! Family had a great time on Turbulance (green coaster). The Mystery Mansion always gives me a sense of nostalgia riding thru not-so-scary haunted house rides as a kid. The park itself was clean and the employees were friendly. There are a few food and snack options available. The funnel cakes were good! They were fresh and made to order. I did end up spending more than I thought I would with the new entry fee however and $5 bottles of water is something I can never get used to. Besides that, we did enjoy ourselves more than I expected to. It was a pleasant surprise. If you plan on visiting more than once, it would be best to buy the season pass.

I went here for a class trip. LOVED IT! Most of the workers were nice to others there was only like 1 staff member who was actually kind of upset however she wasn’t rude to anybody. My favorite rides were the turbulence and the frisbee, those are the best rides for big kids. The food was really good crispy, fresh, flavorful food. The other people there were the problem. Several people yelled at me and my group, I didn’t know much about it though because I wasn’t in the issue. The only thing this park really missing is more rides for big kids but overall pretty good !

Super Great fun for children, clean and A1 service from the staff and security.

The rides were fun they have more kids rides than adult. The place is small but has nice rides. The turbulence and frisbee was fun.. However staff members are very rude. Specially the girls in the mystery mansion was rude and has Unessesary attitude and the food stands where we went to get funnel cake the girls were absolutely mannerless they seem to speak about their love life than taking my order. And funnel cake tasted stale.

One of the best museums that I've ever been to, aside from the Louvre in Paris. It's one of the few places that is always on my list whenever I'm in New York.The MET is a big museum with lots to see, it's hard to see all the art and artifacts within a day so if you're looking to explore as much of the museum as possible I recommend going early. You can grab a ticket from the ticketing desk when you're there or from the automated kiosk, I highly recommend the automated kiosk since it is much faster.There's audio guides for the art and artifacts within the MET which I highly recommend, since it gives context to what you're looking at.The museum is beautifully set up and built, they have permanent and temporary exhibits. Every exhibit is made with such care that you feel as though you're transported back in time. The Chinese courtyard inside the museum is one of my favourites.I also got a chance to see a lot of beautiful dresses for their fashion week exhibit, which was very tastefully displayed and set up.I highly recommend the MET for anyone looking to checkout a museum with lots of interesting arts and artifacts! It's definitely an experience like no other.

One of the best museums in the world.It’s possible for a visitor to spend a day here and have seen something beautiful in a beautiful place. Two days would probably make it feel like it does to me. A familiar, beautiful place. Probably my favorite place to spend time in the City.It’s quiet and crowded. Special exhibitions are often packed but worth it (show up early).How kids engage the Met is often something joyful to see.TIP: if you visit with a local, they can buy tickets for a reduced price. Weekends and Friday evenings are crowded.

The museum was phenomenal! It is huge with art work from many different regions! The museum is divided into regions and there was definitely more than enough to see in each section, so be prepared to walk a lot! (Don't worry though, there are many places to sit)I highly recommend buying tickets online ahead of time because if you wait to buy it in person, be prepared to stand in line for a while.Be sure to check online what unique exhibits they have going on at the time, because they are definitely worth seeing and you don't want to miss out on it!

I was ready to give this 4 stars or less but, honestly, the museum was so well put together I have to go 5 stars. The collection is incredibly vast but displayed in a way that makes it accessible. The descriptions of the pieces are helpful and thorough. The audio guide (free on your phone) was very helpful as well. We spent 3 hours here and did about 3/4 of the exhibits. I got in free as a military member. Good for families but I imagine younger children will tire quickly. Overall a great experience.

The MET did not disappoint. We recommend going for at least one full day to really take in all of the art work. We felt like we didn’t have enough time with the Art after going for 5 hours. The museum is thoughtfully curated and everything feels super intentional with their design choices. We had the chance to see the Van Gough exhibit that is on view while we were there and it was STUNNING. We also really enjoyed all of the beautiful glass pieces and their extensive stained glass collection that is on display throughout the entire Museum.

Just incredible! I must say, I was pretty impressed with Chicago Institute of Art, MET took it to next level!I would suggest visiting before noon, as it gets really packed afterwards! We were able to explore everything without being overwhelmed with crowds!Being from India, i thoroughly enjoyed the Ganesha exhibition and Art of Asia section! Roman, middle eastern and European paintings were amazing exhibitions as well!Will be back to explore different sections!

Per its name, you can tell that this museum is all about art. I decided to go with friends and try the Date Night at the MET. There is honestly not much difference, although I do feel the Zen garden and American Wing is much prettier at night, rather than the day. That said, I recommend coming early to this museum. It is quite large and will take up most of your day. If you just want a quick peak, then grab a map and make sure you plan your route ahead of time. There is a mini floor 1.5, although the stairs is a bit tricky to locate. Nonetheless, feel free to find the areas/topics that fits best for you. I also do not recommend buying tickets in advance as the pay-what-you-wish can only be done in-person. There is practically no wait time, so you should just buy the tickets in-person.

The Met is a world class museum with thousands of pieces of art from all over the world. It’s simply massive! You cannot see it all in one visit, and I think it’s wise to plan ahead of time what you want to see. It’s easy to get a little lost.

Fantastic way to spend an afternoon. So much history and amazing works of art all throughout. Avoid the MASSIVE ticket lines by buying online or using the mobile kiosk by the Egyptian section entrance. There are also some spots to grab a quick snack or drink that are beautifully hidden so as to not be distracting. Most visitors are respectful and there are employees at every corner. Be sure to visit every exhibit and area! There are great pieces in the American and European paintings but also the Greek and Roman sculptures and Asian works of art. Truly a massive display of artistic history!

Such a grand museum with so many things to see - you should consider spending an entire day here or prioritize the exhibitions you'd like to see because it is A LOT. The tickets are free if you are from New York, New Jersey and Connecticut.The MET has such a huge and impressive reputation, and I feel like it delivers. I know their Egyptian exhibition is one of the most comprehensive and oldest but it makes me sad to think that all these artifacts were taken from their original homes in Egypt. There was a special exhibit comparing Egyptian and African artifacts which was very interesting to see the juxtaposition between the two. The elevator to the rooftop is relatively secluded and hard to find but the view is stunning as you can see a beautiful NY skyline from their rooftop.

Absolutely loved my visit to the MET! This museum is a gem in New York City. The Byzantium exhibition was captivating, and exploring the ancient Egypt, Greece, and Rome sections was like traveling back in time.The only disappointment was that the European Painting section was closed during my visit, but with such an extensive collection, there's always something new to discover.The MET is a must-visit for anyone in New York who appreciates history and culture.

We went to The Met on Friday afternoon, and it was busy, but not packed.The museum was incredible!! It was a really immersive experience with several vignettes/rooms and life-size exhibits set up and countless beautiful artifacts and works of art. The museum flowed really well and had some really unique pieces. I would highly recommend a visit to The Met during your time in NYC.

Definitely one of the top museums in the country to visit. Well done organization, an unbelievable amount of artifacts from different cultures and eras, and learned a lot along the way. The modern art painting section is probably the weakest part. It’s hard to get to everything, and if you only have 3 hours or less, make the modern section your last visit.

As a native New Yorker, I love coming to this Museum. I’ve been here numerous times and keep coming back. It is a very educational experience!! The museum is vast and hosts Art from different regions of the world. If you are visiting New York, I highly recommend visiting this place. Bring the kids as well.

The Met Museum is amazing. You could spend two full days in here and still not see everything. There are so many different great eras in history covered, something for everyone.The App is very helpful, it gives you a full map of all if the floors and areas within the museum. It also tells you a little about each area... My best advice is to arrive as soon after opening as possible.

I'm not posting many pictures out of respect for the museum, but it was truly an experience! The Greek, Egyptian, and medieval exhibitions are incredible! We spent the whole day in those sections, and there's so much more to see! I'll have to come back to NYC to explore everything else. Really a great museum!

Very cool museum, but be warned - it's gigantic! Took my 10 and 13 year old, we made it about 4 hours and didn't see close to everything. There is food available and several restrooms. We found it hard to use the map to get around, but there are lots of helpful staff members.

Being a native of New York, I enjoy visiting this museum. I keep returning here despite my many visits. It's a really instructive experience! The large museum features artwork from all across the world. I really advise going here if you're ever in New York. Bring the youngsters along as well.

If you like old and ancient, you'll love it! I did! The price of museums is...sad and uncomfortable. It is not accessible to everyone, but, neither is food and health care, so perhaps complaining about museums isn't the priority. Back to the topic: The displays are well developed and engaging; I was enthusiastically inspired throughout my three hours. Continue winning and I shall visit again!

Such an immense park with so much rich history! Toured a small part of the park by horse drawn carriage. What a wonderful way to go through the park for the first time. Learning about the design of the park and how they are always maintaining a good balance of trees was so fascinating. Well worth the visit if you are in Manhattan.

The central park was really nice, it was impressive to walk in a park which is in the middle of the city. There were so many people picnicking, relaxing, exercise, and even doing online yoga classes, which was interesting to watch. The first thing was horses with carriage, which was the initial cost of $79 and $20 everything each ten minutes. The dogs were on leads and always so friendly. I love dogs 🐕 so for me ,this was a heaven. The water fountains are everywhere, so you can fill up your bottle or just drink directly for free. There are bicycle and running paths, though, so we need to be aware of not crossing their way. It was amazing to stay and walk around. I am definitely recommending everyone to visit. The girls are selling a cup of fruit for $5 dollars. It's freshly cut and delicious. Enjoy squirrels everywhere and don't forget to bring nuts 😉

It feels weird to review one of the largest and most famous parks in the world, but Central Park is probably The BEST PARK I’ve been to. Really, you can walk around here, see amazing places such as The great lawn and the lake, admire the views and the people, Also the vibe here is out of this world. You can hang out here for an entire day, even more. We saw squirrels! There are people here all the time but you won’t fell the crowd because the park is so big and spacious. Overall, Central Park is great. You can’t visit NYC without visiting Central Park.

It has been many years since the last time I visited Central Park, so I didn't remember how lovely this place really was. I revisited this park this past weekend and enjoyed playing "tourist" in my own city. If you don't feel like walking around like I did, you have the option for a pedicab tour or horse and carriage ride. They have plenty of places to check out like a visitor's center to get information, a carousel, a zoo, boat rentals, gift shops, playgrounds, mall, etc. While doing your own self-guided tour, there are QR codes to get an audio tour about the points of interest. They also have several places around the park to get a bite to eat. But be forewarned...it can be a bit expensive so I suggest bringing your own drinks and snacks if you are planning on being here for a while. I didn't get a chance to really explore the entire park as this place is quite huge. There are a good amount of restrooms throughout the park and plenty of places to sit and rest. There are critters scurrying about, but I didn't see the "rats" that several other reviewers have mentioned. The park is kept reasonably clean and seems safe during the day. In my opinion, Central Park is a great place to get some exercise, explore, or just relax. I will definitely visit again in the future the next time I want to play "tourist" again.

Great place. Great atmosphere with 26k types of plants and trees. 6 man-made lakes and all of them are gorgeous. This place really is the lungs of NY. If you're a green lover as well as me, you must see Central Park at least once in a lifetime.

We all know that the park is very spacious and one of the largest. There is a lot to see and experience. The walkways are beautiful. Squirrels, which are the trademark of Central Park, are everywhere and it's really nice to see them, even a little deeper in the park there is food for them, which is really cool. There is a lot of content and interesting things, it literally takes at least two days to see everything. But it's definitely worth it.

Most parks are all one way - like if they do recreational, then that’s all they do; if hiking, then only hiking. Central Park is amazing because it has literally everything in it! I think this might be my first time writing a review for something other than food. Central Park is much larger than you can imagine, sprawling and full of life. What I loved the most were the benches with engraved messages. Each one tells its own little story and adds a personal touch to the park’s charm. This place is amazing and one of a kind. There are lots of different animals that you can feed/interact with. The giraffes were my favorite, but they also have ostriches, zebras, goats, a bunch of monkeys and many many more! Everyone working here was lovely and helpful. Great place to take the kids. There's also a cool playground in the back. There's so much to see here!

My son is a animal lover so I take him to a lot of animal farms but this farm was different than all the others. It was very spacious and clean farm, interiors are beautiful, the staffs are very friendly. There was a magic show that was awesome. Wish the train ride was open. The Giraffe experience was the best. Absolutely loved it……..highly recommend it!

Amazing!! 100/10. We love it! exceeded all expectations! They have a magic show with Ivan who is very friendly with children, a tractor ride, a ride on a lovely train for children (adults can go too). I advise those who go to take change Coins.

White Post Farm is the best farm on Long Island. I was there 12 y ago with my son, and last week with my daughter 2y. Everything changed, they added so much stuff very beautiful. Giraffe 🦒 is our favorite ❤️ to feed them was cool and touch a little - best part, bunnies. 🐰, parrots 🦜 and other farm animals.

Had an amazing time at the White Post Farms on Long Island! The animals were adorable, and feeding them was such a great experience. The bird section was especially joyful, with birds landing on our hands to eat. My 6-year-old absolutely loved it and can't wait to go back again!

I enjoyed it! It was a perfect holiday weekend, and the animals were all super cute and happy. The grounds were spotless and tidy. The staff was pleasant and always helpful. I loved how they had plenty of information about the animals right there. This place is so beautiful to take friends and family for a great, fun day!

Fun for the whole family! My 6 month old loved getting close to the animals and especially loved the aviary. My 5 year old loved the play area and magic show! The food at the Cafe and bakery is out of this world! Amazing pies!!!!

The staff was super friendly from the moment we stepped on the premises. They have a food store where you can order hot and cold sandwiches to eat at the outside dining tables. As well as food stands for hot dogs, chicken tenders, drinks, etc inside the farm. They have many items for purchase from souvenirs to plants. Rooms to rent for your visit or a party. Pony rides for kids and well kept animals to see . A great family trip! I definitely would recommend you visit ☺️

This is one of my favorite places to take my kids! It’s big and there is so much to do that although the last time we visited was a weekend (Saturday to be exact, got there at noon and it got progressively more crowded) it didn’t feel too crowded because people were spread out at the different attractions. Something to keep in mind: It’s cash only inside and for admission tickets ($29.99/person for anyone 16 months and up). It can be a pricey outing but so worth it in my opinion. Best for smaller kids, but also depending on your bigger kid’s personality: my 8 year old son was a little bored after 2 hrs, my 8 year old daughter could have stayed there all day! You can feed and bottle feed farm animals, they have pony rides, you can feed birds, there is a little train, a play area with slides and an area with little houses for kids to explore. There are a lot of photo opportunities throughout. Everyone’s favorite was feeding the giraffes!! We actually had my kids’ 4th birthday party here and I was super happy with the whole experience, it was awesome and well worth the price (still one of my favorite birthday parties to date and it’s been 4 years since). I highly recommend this place. There is a parking lot with plenty of parking and a farm store that does take credit cards & Apple Pay. We didn’t eat anything this time but I remember from prior visits the food for purchase inside the farm was good!

This place was INCREDIBLE!! Was so happy with the value for the price. Beyond the ticket, the food, the additions like the pony rides and toys were so reasonably priced.You could feed almost all of the animals, pet a great amount of them, and they all seemed happy and well cared for. The grounds were spotless as were the restrooms.The kids had a blast for three straight hours! Absolutely will be back again. Thank you to the whole staff who made the entire experience wonderful. 💕

Had a great time today with our 2-1/2 year old daughter! She loved just about every exhibit White Post Farms had to offer including the Pony ride and Giraffe feed. We will be back many more times to come!

This is the best farm I have been too. We definitely cannot wait to go back. They have so many animals and everyone is so friendly. It is so worth to get the fun pack, I believe its called, we literally had food left over and fed so many animals.

Went on the weekend. Got there before the doors opened. I think it's the best time to go. It seems like you have the whole place to yourself. You get to feed which ever animal you want. No crowds. Tip: go to the bird aviary early. The birds would be hungry and flock to you. Went back later in the morning and the birds must have gotten full. Lots of people holding up the bird food and none would come.

10 out of 10. My children and I absolutely love this place. The giraffe experience, the lorikeets, the goats, and being able to feed the animals is a chefs kiss. The staff are even better, everyone is patient and kind. We try to visit twice a summer. My kids will grow up going to WhitePost every summer.

Nice place to visit with your kids. Many animals to see. Kids love to feed goats and sheep. Especially they enjoy feeding giraffes. This is our third visit and kids never say no to visit here. They have an amazing cafe and food is tasty and fresh. You can visit their cafe without buying the tickets to the farm too.

Even as an adult I had such a fun time at this place. For a small zoo it's kept incredibly clean. There is plenty of stations to clean your hands, and to get feed for the animals. All the animal enclosures look incredibly well-maintained, the animals look all very well cared for. And for this it made the price of admission an easy pay.The staff were all very friendly and all had smiles and were attentive. To top it off they have incredibly amazing food that you can purchase to eat there. A farm stand, and a wide selection of baked items and other items that they prepare on premise. Everything I've had from there has been absolutely delicious. The banana bread with chocolate chips in it is absolutely incredible. A small gem, nestled in the middle of Long Island.

FUN and OVER PRICED TICKETS!We went twice to this farm. The first time was on a Monday. It was closed and incorrectly mentioned to open on the website. We again visited on a weekend and it was busy. They accept only cash at the entry for purchasing tickets. The second option was to buy them online. The online price was higher than the price accepted at the counter. The exorbitant prices blew me off.The place is reasonably large with many farm and few safari animals to enjoy. They sell animal feed for an additional cost. My son enjoyed feeding the farm animals. We were on the Easter weekend. Kids had fun collecting Easter eggs and pictures either bunnies. It was overall a good day which was heavy on our pockets.

We drove about 3 hours to come here. We had an amazing day with all the animals. The giraffes are obviously the biggest hit, but the bird area was fantastic. We will definitely e coming back!

This was a fun interactive experience for the kids. We brought 5 kids ages 1,3,9,11,12. They all enjoyed it. The farmers market was my favorite part. The locally grown produce was top quality. The apple pie was $30 and worth every penny. It's all about the crust and it was flaky and crispy. We also bought banana and apple cake both delicious and not too sweet. We ate lunch there. They have a nice variety from sushi and paninis to smoothies and coffee. The bird sanctuary was the most fun for the kids. They sell popsicle sticks with bird seed and the birds fly right to you too eat the seeds. Admission was worth the $30. We will definitely visit again.

Brought my 10 year old son for fall festival. There were a lot of shows going which he really enjoyed. Got some good bbq food and fantastic donuts. As always the animal farm was a hit and giraffe was awesome to see up close. He even enjoyed the birds which he had previously been afraid of. They really couldn't have been more sweet to him and we didn't even have any food.

GORGEOUS new roller skating rink! Kids had so much fun in the crazy ball area and mini golf. We spent all day there! Very affordable. Didn’t love the food- otherwise it was crazy fun.

Lots of fun. my son really wanted to go skating but had lots of fun on the New bounce place instead. he had been hit by one of the play things in the bounce area and bruised his nose a bit. Mini golf is nice here and a bunny came and hung out with us.

Ideal, almost worthy of fighting the nearby Legoland for attention. The indoor arcade part is super well equipped, with massive attractions (eg bouncy area) that are varied, spacious, and well monitored by the staff. The arcade below is also diverse enough in terms of of themes, though it could do a better job at explaining what’s the “conversion rate” of dollars you out into the cards and the “points” you grt for spending on the machines

Take the 1 star with a grain of salt. I've loved the castle fun center my entire life, and for the most part will always recommend it to others. There's been a small decline in the care the property is kept in, and the prices have gone up a bit high for the area it's in, but that's not actually why I have to give them 1 star. For a place billed as a "family fun center", it's not possible to make it through the whole mini golf course as a family. Once you hit hole 11, the next one is followed by a tight spiral staircase, followed by a rickety suspension bridge. I love it, gorgeous. Except anyone with a disability or handicap is blocked from proceeding through the last 7 holes of golf. My mother has problems with her knee and while it didn't stop her from winning the first 11 holes, it completely blocked her from continuing. There's no way around for anyone with any kind of physical impairment and that's honestly shocking nowadays. The staff is all teenaged, and unfortunately doesn't care, and I can't really expect them too. All in all, this is a nice place to take your family, as long as you have a happy healthy family. If little Timmy needs crutches, keep looking.

The Castle is an amazing place to have a fun filled day!!!The ride going was stunning.. country side roads, farms, horses.This place opens til 10pm !!!If you’re in the mood for bouncing around, Go- carts, arcades, rock climbing, zip line, dragon rollercoaster , fun swings.. Great day of family fun. All of the rides and activities Do add up, but if you're game for it, it's ALOT of fun. Kids loved the huge bouncy house.

a few activities for my boys to do. this is a great place for a quick fun outing. I'm sure because it was a weekend staff was a little short but all I had to do was ask and they had a staff person to run the ride. We will definitely do mini golf next time.

Great place for a birthday party my 3 and 5 year old had a blast

Waiting for go karts over an hour and then they took birthday party before the people waiting in line. Don’t waste your time there. Also I paid for the small dragon coaster and the 17 year old blonde girl at the front desk said the ride is open. She was mistaken and it was closed due to pending thundershowers. The manager wouldn’t refund us and the 17 year old just stood there quiet. Terrible experience

Crazy fun for my kids. Lots of games, and although they are undergoing construction lots of rides. The staff are mostly young kids which was great as they relate well with my kids. Check out the mini golf while there.Be prepared to spend some $$ as some of the rides are a little pricey but all in all, a real great place for the kids.

Amazing place, ran the blue course before it closed. Definitely come before 7 if you want to finish a full round. Great fun and just a beautiful mini golf course! Great for warmer seasons.

So-so fun at an expensive price.There ARE lots of different fun activities to do here, but you'll have to decide if the cost for each one is really worth it.The 4 outdoor amusement park rides are more money than they are worth, it cost $18 for my 3 children to ride a mini Rollercoaster for less than a minute. They're not worth it.The go-karts are fun and $7-$9 seem to be an average practice.You need to buy their socks for the 'bounce house' and 'ball area' for an extra $3 per person.The arcade has lots of newer ticket style games, but the cost to play is between $1-$4 per play. You simply don't get to play for long.The mini-golf course has seen better days. The greens are extremely worn down and in extreme need of being replaced. They are also littered with woodchips and tree debris to the point where it affects every shot. I'm being honest when I say it's the worst mini-golf course I've ever played.All in all, The Castle is a relic of older times that has seen better days. You don't get much value for your money, but your kids ultimately won't care.

This place is pretty awesome and they keep making improvements. It has a giant bouncy castle, ax throwing, an arcade, laser tag, bowling, go-karts, roller skating and more! Such a cool place in Chester, New York!

Went for the last time for my youngest one that just turned 18 to celebrate all the wonderful years spent at The Castle Fun Center. The atmosphere has always been a no pressure but just family enjoyment. With renovations underway, I wish The Castle Fun Center the best and thank you for all the beautiful memories.

The staff at the go carts were very nasty. While waiting in line we witnessed a lot of bad encounters with other families. Finally when it came to our turn they didn't let my 13 year old ride the go carts with the excuse that he didn't follow the rules, which was a total lie and there was no one to talk to. Would never go back there and wouldn't recommend anyone going there.

Amazing museum full of artifacts! It was fun and informative too. My friends and I went from one level to another and we were blown away by how great the masterpieces and all its historical interests. As this was a late review, I remember vividly that the museum was well kept and the staff there were incredIbly friendly. Best of all, the admission was free.

This place is just AMAZING! I love military history and when I thought about West Point, there was no better place than this! The staff is very knowledgeable and super friendly. My family and I had a blast. The museum is so well kept (better than many in the city), it really surprises me that the admission is free.

Really nice museum of military artifacts. They had an actual sword that belonged to Napoleon. I was very pleasantly surprised at the quality of everything. It was free to go in. No tour necessary. Only thing though was the the gift/clothing store. Nice high quality stuff. Hold on to your wallet. Prices are steep.

It was a wonderful museum showcasing not just USMA Westpoint but Army history in general. A must-see. Free admission, so no excuse 😊The gift shop is a good stop too.Knowledgeable and friendly staff working there as well. Take a look around at who is there as well. An informative exhibit on all of the creative attempts to solve the overpopulation problem. From stone daggers to nuclear weapons and anything in between. A rich collection, informative banners and visuals make the exposition stand out. If you are an enthusiast of creative approaches to living a rich life fast, you will not be disappointed!

Amazing museum that goes through the complete history of West Point. There is ample parking and no security screening unless you are going on a tour of the post. Ie museum and visitor center are available to all. There is a museum store and a west point store that carries all the merchandise and apparel for the army teams.

Must see in NY...it is a well curated museum exhibiting wars, weaponry, and improvements over the decades of human existence. It is free admission to the museum, but there are tours you can pay for that take you thru the entire grounds.You could easily spend a few hours here if you read everything to soak it all in. All ages can enjoy the exhibit most definitely even if it's just to see how weapons have changed over time.Looking at the different wars and what they experienced, it does give a greater sense of appreciation for all veterans who came before and those who are making the commitment now. There a gift shop has a little something for everyone.Make sure you walk with a sweater or jacket because it is FREEZING COLD in here.

The Museum is currently under renovation. There is a beautiful view of the Hudson River from the full glass wall along the back of the building. The displays are incredible and many. Admission is free, although you may donate to the restoration fund. I highly recommend stopping in to see all the military history exhibits.

We went on a Monday when the Museum is closed. We did the bus tour that was wonderful. We stopped at two places to see the Chapel & overlook up close. The guide provided interesting historical facts & kept our interest throughout. We heard the bus riders speaking in different languages; so it must be a popular destination. I wish more Americans would come to understand the significance of the academy & its history.

Only one West Point on the planet, with the rich history, architecture, setting, and ranking as the #1 military academy in the world. Must be experienced to be understood! You will see the iconic views of the Hudson River and the inseparable connection to the USMA. To fully engage I suggest reading some sources of information in advance of a visit. The history, military mission and lifetime commitments of that Long Gray Line, on and off the battlefield, are the soul of West Point. I felt an unanticipated visceral and emotional response when I arrived for my first visit with my grandson, when he was 10, at his request. Proud beyond description that he is now a graduate.

Loved the Visitor's Center. I came after booking a bus tour. While waiting for the tour to start, I started walking through the visitor's center but only got a few rooms in and I had noticed 30 minutes had flown by. I returned later after the tour and finished the visitor's center, which took me about an hour to complete.The visitor's center has a ton of modern and interesting exhibits about West Point, its history and the academy's 4-year curriculum, which I found very interesting. I was thrilled to learn of what the cadets go through, from their first day through graduation. There are a few interactive exhibits including two movie rooms.I also found out that the visitor's center and neighboring museum are both completely free! You do not need to book any tour or obtain a pass to visit these buildings.Currently, masks are required in both buildings at all time.I highly recommend the visitor's center, museum and bus tour ($18 ish) to everyone of all ages.

We were told we could bring French family members when we registered our son for the summer lacrosse camp. When we came to obtain a visitors pass, we were told that due to a rule change, we. Would no longer register them.This poor communication between the Visitors Control Center and the Lacrosse camp is forcing us to miss our sons Lacrosse games.The Captian in charge was not helpful.

Did the bud tour in April 2022. The tour guide was great - friendly and enthusiastic and not dry at all, there was just the right amount of stops during the tour, and the bus was comfortable. I'd say this is a highly recommended detour from NYC! (Note that the bus leaves right on time so do not be late!)

There’s so much history to appreciate in this centuries old establishment…we took the tour and wowed on the compound where Military leaders are trained. You come out with a lot of respect for the commitment, service and dedication of the men and women who serve the country. Hats off!

Visitor center has some exhibits you can check out for free. It's almost a mini museum, but there is an actual museum in a different building. We came here after doing the bus tour. It is very nice and clean inside. They do have bathrooms and plenty of parking.

The visitor center is an attractive building with a fantastic view of the Hudson River from the entry foyer. There are videos to watch and many, many photographs with lots of text on display portraying cadet live at West Point. A display of the different uniforms, with explanation, and/or a model of the West Point campus would have provided a welcome break from all the reading. Definitely worth visiting, though.

West Point is classic. The real deal. So lucky to have a bright young senior who was accepted. Hope she makes the right call and chooses ARMY.

Stopped by to visit the campus as we do every so often - and was told we now had to get a visitors pass. They sent us to a basement room that resembled a DMV office with a long line where they interview each prospective visitor. We quickly left the area. So much for spending a few hours on the beautiful campus. Must be a new policy - ridiculous.

Great place for easy and moderate hikes. Trails are very well marked, it is spacious, beautiful and free! Even when it's 85+ degrees it's still great since most of the trails have a gazillion trees.

Both the mansion and the grounds are absolutely stunning. The mansion was the perfect location to host our winter event, and we love taking our dog for hikes on the grounds.

I absolutely loved this place when I visited the park in April-May2016. There was a slight drizzle on the day and the scenery was amazing. It was cold. A quiet place where you can get some "me" time.

Tarrywile is an absolutely beautiful wedding venue! We fell in love with the grounds before touring the mansion, but once we went inside, we knew this was the place for us. Loraine was so easy to work with and her enthusiasm about Tarrywile is contagious. The mansion is gorgeous and being able to have indoor and outdoor options for the ceremony and reception was ideal. Though we had hoped for an outdoor wedding, cold and rain forced our late April wedding indoors, where we were able to have an amazing ceremony inside the conservatory. Our guests loved how cozy the rooms felt and we had a wonderful experience there. Highly recommend!(We also love the park and trails if you are looking for a place to hike!)

There are multiple expansive hiking trails throughout the whole park with beautiful landscapes. The mansion is available for events and is host to many weddings and other events during the spring and summer months so the upper parking lot may be closed during those times.

Went here today. I loved it. Hiked the orange trail was 4 miles.

Really a treasure, wonderful place to explore. I was also married in the mansion many years ago, and had the reception there as well. Lovely.

I love their vintage trains. They take you on a tour and answer all your questions. Everyone is a volunteer there and so nice. They worked so hard to make everything look historically accurate and it really does

A gem of a place, worth the 2 hour drive to see. Well priced and you can easily spend a couple hours there. Train ride included a ride on the turn table which was great fun. No cafe on site but think you get a discount for across the road with admission looking at the back of the receipt. Train rides are 3 dollars a head so very well priced and staff are fantastic. There's also a bunch of brio for kids to play with and loads of model trains on display

Great place to visit as a family or train enthusiast. The people that work there have a passion for things on the rails. Take the tour of the train yard. It includes a ride inside an older train and some really cool facts.

Some displays and lots of old cars (only a select number were available for viewing). Although it looked interesting I did not go on their train ride.

Entrance is reasonably priced and the highlight is the outside display. Everyone will enjoy it, but kids that love trains will be in heaven.

Great price for a fun experience. We had the privilege of going on the ride with the guided tour. Excellent service and a wonderful museum to visit with the family. Very accessible and the gift shop had a wide variety of items for everyone's budget.

This is a great place. Tons of cool railroad memorabilia and exhibits. The train yard has lots of cars, some of which you can climb aboard after a brief train ride around the lot. Great gift shop too.

My train obsessed 5 year old son absolutely loved this! The museum itself was a bit boring, but it comes with the territory. The train ride was his favorite part! Just wish it lasted a bit longer. He loved being able to walk the train yard and hop on some of the restored trains. The giftshop seemed dated, but Thomas was there so that was what caught my son's eye!

Had a fantastic time at the Danbury Railway Museum! There's a wealth of information about trains, perfect for enthusiasts and curious visitors alike. The highlight was definitely the train ride, which was enjoyable and offered great views. Highly recommended for a fun and educational experience.

We are definitely fortunate to have such an amazing museum filled with historical railway equipment. The staff is very passionate and very knowledgeable we were just there with my two kids and cousins for the pumpkin patch Express.I highly recommend if you have a loved one or a child who enjoys trains to hop on down to the Danbury railway museum and have an excellent experience.

Worth the hour and a half drive. Made it just in time for the “local yard ride” which is a must if you ask me, which takes you to the far end of the yard and back on a classic train of the museums choosing. That also includes a ride on the historic turntable. Regardless there is plenty to walk around and see. I thought it was very cool and had a great time

Cool museum inside but got upsale a train ticket that was 10 $ each and it was a 30 min train ride that went back and forth on the same track, nothing really exciting about it and the guide was talking so much he even said he should shut up himself. Kinda a weird vibe here but besides the train the museum inside is cool and kid friendly, some hands on stuff too

This was the cutest place ever. The tickets were very inexpensive and we got 2 free pumpkins, yummy apple cider, apple cider cookies or pumpkin spice. The staff was extremely friendly and very knowledgeable. I think I loved that they all just loved trains like little kids. My son is obsessed with trains and loved every moment of it. Their gift shop is not very big but has some great items all prices range. Definitely would go back.

Best $10 I've spent in a long time. The museum is chock full of interesting memorabilia. The railyard holds some fascinating surprises. The train ride is short on distance but long on new experiences. And the folks working there know a thing or twelve about their subjects. A real gem.

What a wonderful outdoor museum! This a great trip for a day trip as a school. It is about 45/50 min out of East Harlem, NY.There is a tram that takes you on a driving tour of the museum highlights.You can also rent bikes. The loop is about 3.5mi of walking.Some pieces are interactive.I would highly recommend visiting early-mid Fall and mid Spring.

Great place to visit. Prepare to walk and make sure you pick a nice weather day. Limited options to eat but you can bring your own food or take out to eat at the picnic area.

Interesting massive sculptures that are all along the various walking paths. Appreciated the App QR code for map and audio/descriptions and more. Nice place to have a picnic with beautiful rolling hills in the distance. There is quite a bit of walking comfortable shoes would be best. Also, bike rentals are an option

Love this out door art center, if you have a car and am in the area, it’s worth stopping byCorporate discount doesn’t work here anymore so the entrance fee for adult is 23 each, children under 5 is free. I think there is group discount. The center is huge, and there is a tram to take you a round, that tram ends at 3:30 in the winter. Beautiful design and architecture friendly for anyone at any age

Huge place, wear comfortable shoes or rent a bike. Recommended for adults that understand the concept of abstract art. For kids it's just a wide open space to run around since there's limited installations that they can touch and climb on. Wear bug spray and sunscreen and try to stick to shadier areas. Take your time especially if it's hot. The landscape is beautiful and the art is lovely. It's free on the first Friday of every month but it'll be packed. Go on Sunday or during the week if you don't enjoy crowds. If you have an ebt card a family of 4 can get in free through the museums for all program. No need for advanced tickets just bring your card and ID and show it at the ticket booth.

Love Storm King. We were so fortunate to have gone to a special performance during upstate art weekend. It was our first time, and it was stunning. We took in Arlene Shechet, Girl Group’s dance performance at sunset. The entire event is one that we will remember forever. Highly, highly recommend attending any of the special events when they happen, but also, Storm King is a great escape from the city to calm the soul.

Storm King Art Center is a fantastic destination, definitely worthy of five stars. The expansive outdoor sculpture park is breathtaking, with meticulously kept grounds and a wide variety of striking artworks. The blend of natural scenery and art installations offers a unique and tranquil experience. It's an ideal spot for art enthusiasts and those seeking a relaxing day in nature. I highly recommend visiting!

This is such a great place to get both, a good walk and view some beautiful pieces of art.My favorite piece, as I’m sure was for many is the 3-legged Buddha.A great place for hikers as well as a great place to take the kids. Just remember, there is no climbing on the sculptures!The staff was incredibly friendly from the person at the gate, to the Tram driver. A special thanks to “Mi” for giving us a ride in the cart up to the highest on point on site.

Great selection of contemporary sculpture in a beautiful, natural setting. Lacking in diversity of artists (collection on view was composed 70% of work by white men). Did not like that we were not allowed to bring our bikes in, but then they offer bike rentals on the grounds. The trolleys for transporting people on such a hot day was great but they need them running more frequently, and to have the time sheet and stops marked on the grounds maps being handed out when you buy your ticket. Can’t wait to come back when all the renovations are done!

Third time at this facility. Lots of construction this time by parking area. Trams run every 30 minutes and we're not very informative this visit. Fabulous sculpture and grounds. Wear walking gear and shoes. Not great for those with disability.

Storm King Art Center is a one of a kind sculpture garden. The center offers interesting sculpture art in an impressive bucolic setting. There are more than 100 pieces of art set over 500 acres. There really isn’t a museum like it anywhere else.It is easy to walk around. Bike rentals are offered and it looked like they were a good way to get around. Tram rides are also available and offer a quick way to move around and see everything in the museum.Visitors are allowed to interact with and touch a few different sculptures. It is also easy to scan QR codes with your phone to find out more about each piece of art. Staff are friendly and can also help you with directions or questions.The “Museum Hill” area offers great views across the garden and of the nearby mountains. The “South Fields” section offers a nice walk by a pond and some of the largest pieces of art in the premises. The “North Woods” section offers a quiet walk through the woods with different sculptures mixed in. Be sure to see everything.Be sure to purchase tickets online. It is the only sure way to get in, especially on weekends. There are food trucks located on the premises. They are working on constructing a new parking lot, so be prepared to follow a new way into the parking lot upon arrival. Storm King is a must stop for anyone interested in out of the ordinary museum.

We went on a free but very hot and humid day on July 5th. Scenery and well maintained grounds are beautiful with interesting large modern sculptures to see. There is construction going on in some areas, so certain amenities were not available temporarily. Bring your own food, drink, and good walking shoes. Snacks are expensive to purchase. Water was available to fill a thermos or cup. Great place for walking and bike riding.

Had the best time. They have a tram that can take you around the 500 acre park with large sculptures. The bike rental wasn’t open yet, but we’ll be back to try it out! If you like walking this is perfect for you. Highly recommend to bring sun protection (big hat, sunscreen, sunglasses!). Perfect for a picnic and getaway with family and friends. I’d suggest to come early to beat the crowds!

This place is huge! Bring comfortable shoes, a sun hat, sunscreen and pack a lunch because it’s going to take hours to get around and see all the artwork. Theres also a trolley you can ride around. Great place to visit!

Truly a beautiful place to visit. I visited with my cousins and elderly aunt, and it was very accessible to her. You can take a tram around to see the general sights and some locations offer golf cart rides for those with trouble walking. The only issue with the tram is that it gets full during peak hours and you would have to wait about a half an hour for it to come again.The weather was gorgeous when we visited which really helps. I don’t recommend going when it’s very hot as some areas offer little shade. They allow outside food so definitely bring a picnic and enjoy the great open space and interesting sculptures. They have a snack stand that sells sandwiches and other things as well if you’d rather buy food there.They have a small indoor gallery space and gift shop if you need a little ac. The park was under construction when we visited in July 2024 but it didn’t hinder our experience at all. Highly highly recommend. Bring the family! There were lots of kids and people with strollers when we visited.

AMAZING ART IN NATURE 🌳 We’ve been coming to Storm King Art Center for many years. There is nothing quite like coming here in all the various seasons. Truly magical sights to see large, giant steel structures juxtaposed with expansive wide open rolling hills. The grounds are massive so be prepared to walk. We like to rent bikes there which is a fun time as a group. Do wear a hat and sunscreen and hydrate. There is a highly recommended tour tram 🚋 that is free with admission. It is the highlight of the visit to ride and learn about all of the artists. Storm King Art Center has grown tremendously since we’ve been going since 2004. While here, visit the home town of Cornwall as there are nice shops and bookstores. Highly Recommend ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Great place to appreciate some art and have a picnic on a bright sunny day. You have small truck for coffee , tea and hot chocolate (all 3 were terrible btw). entire open air museum can be covered by tram that takes you to all the important art stops . Last tram is at 5, post that you have to explore it on foot. Overall a decent experience

First time at the park, and I definitely, definitely will be coming back one day. I was visiting from out of state and took the bus up from Manhatten, and it was well worth the trip.For some advice getting here from Manhatten: we took the Shortline Hudson bus from Port Authority to get to Storm King Art Center in the Monday morning at 10:30 am and arrived at 12 pm. The bus departed at 5 pm and arrived back in Manhatten around 6:45 pm. It gave us plenty of time to see the entire place. If you rent bikes, then it's must easier to see everything.We came on a really good day, but even still, the Art Center was fantastic and so beautiful. I really enjoyed all the sculptures. They have a small cafe near the entrance with just a few food options - otherwise, might be a good idea to bring your own food.

We had the opportunity to visit Storm King. First off, you can buy ticket ahead of time and there is an hour window to enter the park. We were honestly a little late but there was no issue. This is big area so if you plan on taking kids that do not like to walk, this may not be the best use of time, or bring bikes or other means of transportation. There’s a museum on the top of the hill where there’s always a different artist being presented. You can spend the entire day here, picnic, or just walk around. Make sure to bring a water bottle and dress comfy.

My husband and I stopped by this place during our usual Sunday road trip. I had never been to a Buddhist monastery before, and I was really impressed by how peaceful and beautiful it was, tucked away in the woods. It’s pretty tourist-friendly, which was super convenient.A couple of things to keep in mind: if you want to go inside the temple, you’ll need to take off your shoes, but they provide slippers, and the floors are really clean. As you get closer to the main temple, the Great Buddha Hall, walking along the Bodhi Path, you can smell the incense in the air.I originally thought it’d be a quick visit around one building, but I was totally wrong! I ended up spending a couple of hours learning about the history of Buddhism.The area around the monastery is well-marked with signs showing where you can and can’t go, which is helpful.If you’re planning a visit, make sure to come before noon because the place closes to the public at 3 PM.Oh, and we saw a baby bear wandering around in the woods 🐻!

Having been wanting to take the drive to visit since 2019 and today I visited. Absolutely stunning, peaceful and a great escape from NYC and the noise/ Nasty people. It’s amazing that something like this is but an hour away. Loved the grounds and the silence was the best part. Also the koi were beautiful and the walk around the property.

As a Buddhist for many years, I felt truly overjoyed to immerse myself in the atmosphere of peaceful tranquility at the monastery. It was a delight to learn the offerings in September, and I was touched by the kindness friendliness of everyone I encountered. My girl Blu especially loved strolling through the park, soaking in the serene surroundings. The temple itself provided a wonderful and enriching experience that I will cherish. How fortunate. Came here on a weekday and find that this week marks the 60th anniversary of The Buddhist Association of the United States. A lot of people from all over and staying overnight at the monastery to celebrate. If you want, you can be part of the celebration. Even if you're not inclined to participate, you can still walk around the grounds to relax and take in the scenery. It's so peaceful here.

Such a beautiful place and we enjoyed the vegetarian dishes very much.

Over 900+ reviews only one mention of dogs being allowed. Dogs are allowed on the temple grounds, of course not allowed in the buildings. Be cognizant of where your dog does his or her business. Keep off statues and scared areas. Closed during the winter months except for certain days, check the website or call to double check. Vegetarian lunch is usually available whenever the temple is open (starts 11:30am). The meal is $7 per person as donation and tastes great. Would recommend stopping if in the area or around the Chinese New Year holidays.

Just about 1 hour drive away from Manhattan this place offers a very different vibe. An easy walk around the compound takes you through an avenue of traditional statues, the main temple with the famous larger than life Buddha, and a small picturesque pond. There are restrooms, a small gift shop and you can also share the devotees vegetarian lunch or witness some of their ceremonies. Beautiful monastery and statues. If you come Saturday and Sunday there is $7 vegetarian lunch served from 11:30-1pm. Lovely place that bridges nature and spirituality.

Went with my family to the monastery on Sunday afternoon. It was a very nice to be able to walk around. The monastery is very clean and well kept. I wished we could have stayed longer and explored the monastery grounds more, but it was near closing time so we left. Will definitely come back again when we visit the area.

I have been there many times over the years, until covid came. But beautiful and serene, heartfelt place to visit and wonderful nuns and monks who truly are practicing in the way that they believe and teach. Always I feel welcome there. The energy is really wonderful and peaceful. I have not eaten there yet but I'm thinking of going there with a few of my students in the near future, if it is open again to the public, and sharing this wonderful treasure with them and maybe eating in the dining hall. I have heard it's very good. When I say I've been there are many times over the years, I mean the past 25 years. So always a pleasure and a beautiful place to remember who you are, everything around you and all the gifts of life. Thank you to all who help keep this place a beautiful Retreat and place of spiritual practice as well as a lovely nature place to visit. Wish you all the best and always the very best energy.

A place filled with peace calm and beauty. Very recommendable place to relax enjoy and be present. The entrance of the temple from the road is marked by a White Buddha. The driveway leads you to the parking lot and to the main entrance of the complex which is made by 4 buildings. The entrance is marked by 2 stone lions and on each side of the entrance there are different representations of Buddha with different attributes. You will be walking on a beautiful dirt path where 2 stone elephants will greet you. There is a huge bell on the right side and a huge drum both of them covered by a red structure and only the monks have access to. The main Buddha inside is amazing. You must leave your shoes and go inside the hall either barefooted or wearing the sandals they provide outside the temple for you to use. There is no cost but please be mindful to leave a donation.There are 2 temples the main Buddha and the Kuan Yin . This last one, has no access for visitors. There is a gift shop that gets really busy, a cafeteteria which serves food from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm . The food is made by the monks and I think it is a good way to help them maintain the temple. There are seats outside the cafeteria and the bathrooms are found underneath the main temple and the only access to them is from outside. There are wooden paths connecting the buildings which are really beautiful and helpful for people with walking disabilities in case they cannot go upstairs.Before you leave, don't forget to see the lake where you will find a beautiful image of KuanYin . The whole area is a place of peace !

Nice grounds and large Buddha statue, but with no monks or meditators, instead visitors posing for cameras, it lacks the spiritual atmosphere of other Buddhist temples and monasteries. I expect that video and photography is not allowed, but no prominent signage. There is a free lunch prepared by volunteers in the dining hall. A donation of 6 dollars is suggested; it would have been more delicate if the donation box was placed, say, next to a small central Buddha statue in the dining hall, rather than right on the lunch serving counter.

Very serene and beautiful monastery. I would recommend to anyone involved in Buddist teachings or interested in the lifestyle! Lunch was yummy, morning meditation was grounding, the Sutta talk was informative, the people were kind, the views were majestic, and I will be back!

Im not Buddhist but coming here with my fiance who is, to expose our kids to his beliefs was amazing and very zen like. I loved the scenery around the temple and how outstanding it was

This was a nice simple boat trip up the Hudson River, turn around by West Point and come back down. It’s a nice simple couple hours. There is a cash snack concession. The seating was spacious both upstairs and downstairs. The crew was attentive, and the captain was informative. The narration was automated and loud enough for even handicap people to hear. This trip allows you to see many historical houses and West Point. We definitely would do this again.

We used the Pride of The Hudson for our wedding reception. The staff was very interactive and fun to work with. Our DJ brought the good tunes and our caterer filled our belly with good food…A good time was had by all!

Lovely boat ride on the Hudson River. Clear, loud enough, dialog on the speaker system with interesting stories about what you are seeing. Clean rest rooms and nice bar area with snacks. The crew was very nice and helpful, would recommend this trip to friends and family!

Took cruise to see fall colors. Unfortunately the fall colors were not that great. However we enjoyed our boat ride with family very much. The crew was great. Boat is clean and has ample space.

What a wonderful way to see the Hudson Valley! I have lived here my whole life and have never done this! My husband and kids had never been on a boat before, and I'm happy they were able to have this wonderful first experience!

Overall a very nice tour. The boat could use a paint job. The staff were all great. There were only about 30 of us on a Saturday afternoon. The tour is narrated over a public address system that could be a little bit better. The sound outside(up top) was often muddy, especially due to the background noise. If I ran the show there would be parts where the crew would be doing the narration not the PA. I'd also consider going a little closer to the shorelines, especially near Cold Spring and West Point, and the islands.

Would recommend covering west side of river on one direction and the east side the other. The way back to the dock was silent and the crew started packing up the chairs while still in transit. Was an enjoyable way to start our week in the Hudson Valley.

My family of four (kids, 4 and 6) had a wonderful time aboard the Pride of the Hudson. The crew went out of their way to be kind to my children, making sure they had a great time. The narration was insightful and interesting, but didn’t take away from the peacefulness of being on the water. Highly recommend this experience for a fun afternoon.

We had a great experience. The place has plenty of parking. Purchasing tickets was easy. The staff was friendly and professional. They had so much knowledge to share. We tea enjoyed ourselves. There are many different places to sit and view the scenery on the boat. There is a bar with snacks. I would recommend to anyone especially a history buff.

I brought my mother on the river cruise for her 80th birthday. We both loved it. She has difficulty with walking due to arthritis. Getting her on and off the ship was very easy. We stayed in the lower deck by the snack bar, sipping margaritas and taking in the views. The bartender was very friendly. She made great margaritas as well. I highly recommend this excursion. It's a great price for all you get to see.

One of my favorite museums in NY, easily reachable via Metro-North & a short walk. Housed in the former Nabisco box factory, this museum boasts permanent installations by modern sculptors Robert Smithson & Richard Serra, paintings by Andy Warhol, light installations by Dan Flavin…along with incredible exhibitions by a host of modern & contemporary artists. Very large and beautifully curated space. A permanent fixture on my map.

The ambient natural light is perfect for the art and the spacious galleries provide a the respect these artworks require.An incredible visit.Well worth the effort of going there.Combined with Storm King Art Center this is the perfect day trip.

WOW what a hidden gem! This is the type of art museum I wish they had in New York! The museum is SHOCKINGLY large, so prepare to a walk a ton. The worker at the ticket booth was super nice and I really loved the nature of the art pieces. I can't wait to drag my friends back here next time I'm in Beacon.

The exhibits are interesting and fascinating, there is an area for food and drinks and also a large amount of books for sale. I would highly recommend. The construction of the building with its saw roof adds another unique element to it and also the exhibits.

Nice place. However, I do have a suggestion. If they could keep the cafeteria open half an hour beyond the museum timings so that people could buy refreshments, snacks etc after exiting the gallery. Some of us are tired and hungry after walking so much inside and also have to drive back so we wouldn't have to make an additional stop on the way back.The gallery is great and some of the displays are good. Some don't make any sense but well if anything is classified as art one wouldn't like to appear ignorant by commenting adversely about it. Overall a good experience.

Expansive museum filled with large-format artwork, accessible by train or car from NYC. Never too crowded, though advance reservations are suggested.Due to the proximity to the train station, this can make for a particularly accessible day trip for NYC residents or tourists to see artwork that physically could not fit in most museums in Manhattan.The refurbished factory is absolutely stunning with unique architecture and plenty of natural light pouring through the skylights throughout the space.

The interpretation of art is personal and can vary from person to person. So this is my take: The building's open layout with industrial elements complements the themes of unity and conformity in some art pieces, reflecting a connection to the elements of the natural world.The prices at the gift shop are reasonable and affordable.Tickets were the same price in person.

Día Beacon is a modern art museum in a former Nabisco box-printing factory on the banks of the Hudson River. It consists of three floors with sculptures and paintings. I was most impressed with Richard Serra’s exhibition. Some art is simple while others are complicated and original ideas. Andy Warhol and Steve McQueen are quite impressive works of art!

Great day-trip out of the city to experience Dia Beacon on friday. Must go for any contemporary art enthusiasts. Will have to find time to go again as the basement and garden were roped off when we went. Wheel chair accessible and take home posters provided!

Spacious, airy industrial building, a great place to get lost for an afternoon. Affordable admission, discounts available for students, children, seniors, disabled visitors, and residents of Newburgh and Beacon. Best enjoyed by modern and contemporary art enthusiasts, more for teens and adults than children. Allow about 2 hours to see everything at a comfortable pace. Prepare for mostly walking, maybe some climbing or bending depending on the current installations you choose to interact with. You can walk right up to the installations, so security personnel supervise each area. Not crowded at all. Limited parking, get there early! A lovely museum, I hope to see their other locations.

Spectacular! Dia Beacon is one of my favorite ways to spend a day. It’s an easy trip from NYC area via metro north or car. A very worthwhile trip.

Amazing displays and ambiance ! There are many different art displays the capture the eye but also the room. Great spot for a date and art lovers you will not be disappointed. They have a great cafe and little bookstore as well. The gardens outside are beautiful to check out as well !

Dia beacon is a great space visually. Incredible curation. Definitely geared towards older contemporary experiential/3D art. Great if you’re in your freshman year of art school, you’ll see all the works you’ll be learning about. Very accessible via train out of nyc or car.My rating is simply because I find most of the artists and their work pretentious. Great place for art snobs or just getting contexts of famous pieces 😋

Big open space with lots of art pieces and sculptures. Separate space for each artist so it's easy to follow. It has b1, 1st and 2nd floor so don't miss any. I came in during a weekday, and it wasn't crowded at all. This is a great place to get inspired!

A must go to if you are visiting Beacon.The museum is a medium sized, takes about 1-2 hours. The display item and their ideas behind the art are all meaningful.I really liked the concept of using natural materials in creating the shapes.

The museum is a modern art museum and the art, in my opinion, is too basic. To explain further, they have a room with just barbed wire set in walls and triangles. But if you like modern art, then consider checking Dia Beacon out.

An old time outdoor flea market with antiques, clothing, handcrafted furniture and jewelry. They have collectibles and toys. Wear old and comfortable sneakers. They have the best Italian Ices! There are other food choices and portable bathrooms. We loved the old time band that played at the entrance. Can negotiate the prices. Bring a hat and carrying bag. Able to go out and come back in but need to get your hand stamped. We went at 8am and there were plenty of vendors. Some people go earlier to get a jump on the goods being sold. We will definitely go back.

Amazing! One-of-a-kind experience. I've never been to a flea market before and it was an experience. Full of bargains and deals. Hidden treasures and not so treasure-like. These people wake up at the Crack of dawn to be here and I truly appreciate them for what they do. Staying there until late and in the heat of the sun. I applaud them. If only I could've bought more stuff and supported each kind soul there. 10/10 would return. I give it 4 stars because I wish the parking was more organized. People speeding up and down the lanes and no order. Please fix...

August 5, 2023 was a great day at Elephant's Trunk Flea Market. Parking was free and very easy to get in and out. $3.00 entrance fee at 8:00am. Lots of different style vendors throughout the whole place. Some very pricey and others had great deals. For sure this is worth a visit every now and then. They could use more food truck selections. Portable bathrooms are extremely messy and dirty. Otherwise a great visit.

A true outdoor flea market and one you can find anything from a rare antique to a mid century furniture piece or a box of knickknacks from someone’s attic.The vendors are spread across a big field. Come early as the market opens at 7 am. By noon many vendors would start to move things away.Entry fee is $3 and you can reenter any number of times.There are a few food vendors as well - nothing fancy, just to keep you going.There are portable bathrooms across the field with wash stations which is handy.

If you are looking for unique things, you are a collector, this is the perfect place to visit

What a fun place to go walk around on a Sunday and check out all the treasures! Got some really great deals on some items that I collect and a piece of antique furniture that was not in bad condition and got for next to nothing. Bring cash as I didn’t know many vendors just do cash. It is full sun with some spots in the shade. Bring sunscreen and lots of water for hydration. Maybe an umbrella to keep you from getting a burn. Worth a try if you like a bargain. If you are into the serious game of upselling, antiquing or treasure hunting you can get in earlier for an additional fee. This venue can be fun for people watching treasure hunting perusing or serious hard core collectors. Need to be experienced at least once in your life!

Made popular by a TV show, you never know what you will find at the Trunk. I see people walking down the isles with the strangest things imaginable. Nice combination of antiques, crafts, and new items. Unlike the nearby Stormville Flea Market, all of the vendors are mixed in together. Nice for visual variety but bad on your feet because what you want can literally be in the first aisle or the last. The food, other than the Doughnuts, simply ain't that good. It won't kill you, but it is pretty pricey and nothing special at all. Do not misunderstand me, the food is a strong OK. Free parking is abundant. I like that there is a nominal entrance fee. This helps to ensure that MOST attendees have come to buy something and not just take up space. My orange tent can be seen from every part of the field. Just look for the Clockman! Port a potties are basically at the 4 corners of the property. They are reasonably clean unless a patron got a case of the trots from the over priced, under flavored grub. Overall, a nice day out that I would recommend experiencing at least once or twice in your life.

We were really looking forward to spending a half hour or so browsing on the way home from a day trip. Though the website says you can be admitted until 2PM, we were quickly turned away from the parking lot at our 1:45PM arrival. We were dismissed when we pointed out that there was still 15 minutes until admission was closed, and they proceeded to lock the gate. Very disappointing.

Drove past on numerous occasions and finally decided to stop by this past Sunday. The weather was gorgeous, parking was ample, and it’s such an unique experience, never knowing what the vendors will offer. Admittedly, some of the prices seemed a tad high, but I thoroughly enjoyed myself. I can’t wait to go again and hopefully see the remainder of the booths.

Well I haven't been here in probably 15 years....seems it hasn't changed much.... In a world that's constantly rotating, it's nice to go somewhere and have things be just as they were..... I did get some very good Candied nuts.... And the people who work there were always very nice...... And of course it's always nice to go To Brookfield and get gas $2.95 a gallon@@@@@

Always a great day at the Elephant's Trunk! Come see me, my inventory is ever-changing! This is one of the biggest vintage type markets I have ever been to. Be sure to wear your comfortable shoes and bight a big bag or granny cart for your purchases! In addition to the hundreds of vendors, they also have a section with food trucks and picnic tables. Make a day of it, but come early because is all over at 2pm.

Fun but only 1/2 full. Of course it was hot as hades, so that may have something to do with it. Parking is free, $3/person entry. There are food trucks and places to sit. Overall it was fun, but tiny compared to what I was expecting. Make sure to check out the Fred pile outside!

What a great place to see and shop. Very interesting items at good prices. Highly recommended. Spend the day there in your own treasure hunt. I promise you will not be disappointed. There are plenty of food vendors, so you won't go hungry.

We are from Alberta and had seen this flea market on TV. We really looked forward to it and did enjoy the market but were frustrated that some of the vendors, who we had planned to buy items from on our way out due to the item's sizes, had packed up shortly after 1pm. We thought we had until 2pm to pick up the items we wanted.

Big area and plenty of parking. There's a whole lot to see, with a good mix of antiques, plus everyone was happy to talk with you about what they have and will work a deal. Grab and bite, The lobster rolls are very good.

Always a fun trip! A variety of vendors and yummy food trucks (I'm hoping the crepe truck comes back)

It was laborious this time. The prices were TERRIBLE, many "professional," resellers. It's in line with a flea market experience, except there aren't many deals to be made. EBay is there, who knew people's lives depended on getting as much money as possible, per item. Remember, you can likely buy this stuff all day, every day, off the Internet. Difficult to recommend, it's entertaining in terms of a cheap way to waste time, but I'm not making it a habit to come back.

A must visit! I have gone to this place twice so far this summer and both times were amazing! The first time, we did a tour and tastings in the tree house and it was very unique! Highly recommend! The second time, we chilled at the bar and enjoyed the ambience which is always amazing! They offer a wide range of ciders some of which you can’t get in store. It also changes seasonable so def must try! The pizza is amazing with an outdoor brick over! Service and staff is top notch

Have wanted to check this place out the past four years and finally got around to it - boy have I been missing out on an experience! I went with my family and each of us got our own cider flight. We were able to sit outside and enjoy the weather, landscape, and drinks. We ordered some pizza which was decent, but obviously the drinks are the main draw. The lawn games, merch shop, and property itself made for a really fun and unforgettable afternoon. Don’t hesitate to go - you will regret it if you don’t. 🍎🍏

Was wanting to take a visit here for so long and finally did! Loved the atmosphere, and the views. I did wish they had the larger growlers when we went were only able to purchase the smaller one. Tangerine cider and the blueberry rose cider was delicious . We took a quick tour of the apple press which included a full glass of the original crisp apple cider and the block party I believe. Our instructor was really nice and informative. We had the pulled port sandwiches from the food trucks which were very flavorful, as well as the hot pretzel and the donuts. All tasty. I definitely want to come back and try some more ciders !

First time coming here and it was amazing! The atmosphere is great and all the employees are very welcoming. Definitely would recommend doing one of their tours. Great place to come with a group of friends but seating and parking is limited and can fill up pretty quickly so come early and bring a picnic blanket or some chairs. They also serve food and have a food truck on the weekends you can order from. Will definitely come back again!

My mom and I did the brewery tour and had THE BEST TIME. Sean was our guide- not only was he knowledgeable but hilarious. He kept the tour so fun and had good facts I did not know. The moment we drove on to the property it was so inviting, relaxing and the views were stunning. I for sure will have to make my way back here. If your looking to have a drink and unwind I suggest coming here over a bar any day.

Visited with a group of 4, 20-30 year olds and bought the tree house experience. The tree house experience was fun although I was expecting to try around 4 different types of cider and what we got was one small cup of “Albany post” flavored cider and one large cup of crisp apple cider (which you can buy in any store). Although this wasn’t the tasting experience I was expecting the views were great from the treehouse. The guide was very informative and told us lots of history about the site which was interesting to hear. (Make sure to arrive to your tour early!!!) The lines to get cider and donuts and food were quite long although they did move quickly. While we were there, and although it was mildly entertaining, we saw a fight over a picnic table (which was fair as there were not nearly enough) and also a fight over a parking space. Also, there was only 1 option for non alcoholic cider. As the DD this was disappointing as I still wanted a cider experience. Overall I would highly recommend visiting Angry Orchard Walden! We plan on making this a yearly visit!!

I visited Angry Orchard Cider House on Sunday, November 12, 2023. I reached the cider house around 11:45 a.m., and it started to get full to capacity. We were lucky to reach the cider house early in the morning. Cider house staff checks IDs if you want to enjoy their cider. They make fresh brick oven pizza and cider donuts in front of you. They also have fantastic tree house, only available to ticketed guests. They have outdoors gas-fired fireplace which comes out very handy if you want to enjoy cider and food outdoors. The parking lot is small, so go early if you want to have a peaceful experience . Overall, the atmosphere was very peaceful and welcoming. I will definitely going to visit this cider house again in winter.

This whole place was absolutely fantastic! We even got to do a tour at the Stone Barn Tasting Experience!!!! And I tell ya what! Emilia was absolutely amazing!!!! She treated us sooooo beautifully! Like we were people! Not just customers! I can’t wait to come back! Especially thanks to her!!!

This is my second time here and I had a good time. The apple cider donuts are amazing, I highly recommend the flight of hard cider and they have pretty good food. Make sure you bring a Picnic blanket or your own chair since all tables are mostly taken by other visitors. The wait time to order food (30min wait in line) and to get your food (another 45min) is ridiculous. I feel that they need to do a better job at this since weekends are super busy. The apple cider donuts must be paid either cash or Venmo and no credit card is accepted. Everything else you can pay with credit card. I also did Apple picking and that was good. Other than the waiting time for food and not being able to find a table, I had a good experience. Oh and my favorite cider is the Albany Post.

A necessary visit for me every time I'm back home in the Hudson valley. The in house selection has some experimental options you can't buy in stores. Flights are good, and getting a huge growler of your favorite after gives you both a lot of cider and a nice collectible for after!

We visited in August 2023. We were surprised by all that they had going on. One note for anyone with mobility issues. The parking is a bit of a walk away from the main building unless you can park in the handicap spots.We were going primarily for the Treehouse tour which was a much cooler thing than expected. There was much information about the treehouse and their products and then in the treehouse was a tasting of 2 of their offerings. This was a guided tasting which was very interesting as I had never been to one before.The host/guide was very knowledgeable and funny. Plenty of time to enjoy the 2 drinks and take pictures. Beautiful views of the orchard and surrounding area.After the tour we planned to grab a couple cans of one of the ciders we had tasted. We walked back to the main building and downstairs to the store. We were very surprised to see besides the store there was all kinds of outdoor activities. Tables and games setup. Even dogs allowed. Music and food options. Could have easily spent an afternoon here.All the staff we interacted with were friendly and helpful.This is a great day trip. We were camping nearby at the KOA which was convenient for our trip.

I loved my time at the cider house in Walden! Jo was our cider tasting expert and we had such a great time! Jo educated us on the 4 types of cider we tried and made us feel welcomed. This was on of my favorite tasting to date!The grounds at the cider house are well kept and beautiful to take in. We visited on a rainy day but we still enjoyed our time! The main cider house included a few bars both inside and out, ample seating, cider donuts which I would die for! Merchandise store and a large TV so I could watch the Eagles win GO BIRDS!I enjoyed a cup of blueberry rose cider and it was so good! We got a burrito bowl from the Mexican food truck near the cider estate house and it was bland but did the job.Can’t wait to visit again.

Our second time here and it’s just as great as the first. This time we reserved a fire pit, which provides table side food service and generous samples of the cider available. We also enjoyed a fresh donut flight and complimentary smores.Kenan was amazing - hopefully you get him when you reserve the fire pit.

I've been wanting to come here for such a long time. I'm glad I finally did! I had such a great time celebrating my graduation. The food was great and of course, the drinks were too. Definitely coming again!

Downright gorgeous place, nice staff, good snacks, but ironically the cider was just okay. Visited to see the live bluegrass music and try some cider and were super impressed with the atmosphere but less so with the cider. We got a ‘memorial weekend’ flight because the menu board had little detail and it was hard to know what to pick, and of the ones we ended up with, 2/4 were nearly vinegary while the other 2 were a bit cloyingly sweet. That said, the place was a lot of fun, well organized to accommodate visitors, and the live bluegrass was awesome! We also really enjoyed their apple chips and caramelized onion dip with focaccia. Definitely a good place for groups, visitors, dogs, etc, but if you take cider seriously maybe look up more info in advance about the options on tap.

Awesome! This is an amazing and unique brewery, with top tier customer service. I visited for the first time on a whim and loved the entire atmosphere. The bartenders were friendly and knowledgeable and I had a blast getting to try something new. They have a menu of small bites, but I went with a cider flight this time. I will be back!

This was my second time coming in the early fall, they had great live music and plenty of seating, Even with the amount of people there. Lines were not too bad drinks and food were excellent. Will be back again next year. Highly recommend.

Really great spot to stop at while vacationing Upstate. We went at around 6:30pm until close. The sunset was glorious!!

What a fun place to come visit! The ciders were great to try, be sure to get a flight so you can have multiple. The donuts and pizza were great too. The live music was the vibe. We were gonna stop by for a short tour, but ended up staying for hours.

I don't think I'd ever been to a flea market before. It was indeed huge!!There was a section of "antiques" aka old stuff that people no longer wanted -- I'm sure there are some treasures in there but a lot of it looked like junk to me.And then the "new stuff" section had a bunch of stuff that you might find at the dollar store.Free parking. Food benefits were expensive, although I did enjoy the cider donuts that I bought.

You'll always find something cool or interesting here. Great places to spend the day. Free parking.

Came for the flea market. We came at 2:00pm and they close by 4:00, so vendors and food stalls were already starting to close up. There is some shade with picnic benches if you want to bring food. It was a super hot day with high humidity that made it feel like it was in the 90s.I'd like to come back for yard sale days where prices are a bit lower.

I absolutely love the Stormville Flea Market. It's held for only a handful of time throughout the year. I visited on Memorial Day weekend. There were over 400 vendors, including the food trucks. Some things are overpriced (e.g. $3 for a can of soda), but of course, there were great deals. A comic vendor that regularly has a spot was fully stocked with comics in GREAT shape, a variety of Marvel and DC comics from current Modern to silver and bronze age. I also picked up a baseball hat and a leather wallet for $10. It gets very hot, as it's an airport, hot asphalt retaining the all that sunshine. Come prepared for the heat and bring cash. You don't want to use their ATMs ($5+ fee). I can't wait to go again!

It's a great place to go with friends to look for little things. Sadly these days there is very little furniture or home decor. The mass produced section seems to over power the antiques and resell section.Prices can be high so always try to buy more than one item and negotiate... And cash speaks volumes.If your looking for trendy items (ie Pyrex or mid-century holiday decor) you are not going to get a deal.

We participated in a "yard sale" with many items from benches to glassware. Had a blast and did pretty well. Will definitely do this again next spring.

I loved the stalls, the friendly vendors and the items that you cannot find in chain stores along with bargains. My only minus was that someone parked right behind me and sandwiched me in place until closing.

The Ultimate Yard Sale each year is a good flea market with less dealers than usual. Good selection and you can sometimes find a good deal. The regular Stormville Flea Market is also good but has more dealers and new things.

Still a great well established and very organized flea market that’s been around for years. Plenty of free parking. Great Antique and collectible dealers organized on one side and plenty of craft, food and local vendors on the other. Good variety of foods. Plenty of port a John’s on location however they definitely could use more attention.

Breezy. Many vendors of concessions and antiques. Plenty of unpaved parking. Friendly staff who regularly empty the trash cans. In October 2022, the Dutchess County Libertarian Party staffed a stall at this market.

My family and I have been coming to the flea market since the 70's. It's a family tradition. We pile in the car and head out every Memorial Day weekend. Although there are much fewer vendors than back in the day, we never leave empty-handed. There is always something for everyone.

I have been there a number of times over recent years. The site is divided between a flea market and an antiques show. You can find a wide variety of household goods and inexpensive tools in the flea market. The antiques area has an extensive and eclectic array of items. I have found things to purchase in both areas every time I've gone there.

Great experience. Plenty of parking when we went on a Sunday midmorning. It seems most of the parking isn't fair from the flea market. There was a variety of items, foods, breads, furit stand, cookies, etc. Sellers, antique, new stuff, old stuff.

Love it country side antiques and lots of vendors great place to find collectables at reasonable plrices and friendly welcoming people, nice place out in the woods and alot of food vendors and huge parking areas even handicap section , bathrooms also...

Fun to walk around and explore the different vendor stalls. Great outdoor and garden decor, dream catchers, chimes, lots of fun toys (eg Funko pop, old fashioned Hess trucks/planes), lots of food and snack vendors, lemonade and Piraguas (snowcones). Definitely, bring a beverage and wear a hat (comfy shoes) - we went in late May and it was really hot and sunny.

I've been going to this for years and it's not the same like it used to be. The food and drinks are way overpriced ($8 for fried pickles, $2-3 for a soda can). Also, when I went today, it felt like I was just shopping at an outside mall with the prices people were offering / selling....

Great atmosphere and a bunch of beautiful treasures to find and walking. Just make sure you have your sunblock and umbrella and hydrating gear.

The staff was incredibly friendly, and the live music was great! They offer fresh and tasty dishes, and plenty of excellent wine options. Knowledgeable staff made the wine tastings enjoyable and informative. It was a wonderful mix of nature, music, food, and wine.

This place is great! The staff are so kind and welcoming. Quaint little Connecticut winery with great tasting wines (and little baked goods). Definitely worth the drive out to visit. You’ll know you’re here when you see the white silo.

I love visiting White Silo. Their wines are nice, they are super laid-back and welcoming of dogs.

Beautiful scenery, great selection of wines, and excellent food pairings. Helpful and friendly staff. Have driven past many times and decided to make it the destination. Great selection of wines to choose from. The cheese plate and hummus plate were a great snack to sample through the wine flight. Variety of house made items available in addition to wine. The Rhubarb Mustard provided with the cheese plate was so good that we brought some home. Looking forward to coming back for seasonal special events.

Fantastic wine and setting.I've been to a few of these fruit wineries across the US, from Florida to Maine, and I always thought its the whole picture. The location, being on vacation etc. But usually the wines are honestly not that good. This place is different, with them offering great wines. I was honestly blown away with how good the fruit wine can be in the right hands.It got me thinking, if we take grapes and make great wine, why not blackberry for example.Well.They did it.The wines are exceptional. And I like wine. Lived in Central California, spent time in Bordeaux. I am not a wine expert. But I like good wine and love their offerings.The sparkling blackberry is incredible, the cassis a rival to any port. And the dry blackberry is as good a red wine as any 'grape'.They also offer small plates to snack on, that are simple, but good accompaniments and are very reasonable. There is no gouging going on here.Staff super friendly, knowledgeable and patient.All in all, one of the better all round experiences I've had.

I’ve been to this winery several times. It’s adorable, not a very large establishment & really in the middle of no where. You can not bring food to the winery, but they do sell food & it’s really good…boxed lunch, cheese boards, etc. Wine is delicious. A little wedding was going on when I visited last, looked beautiful. The little statue holding the sign of where to park gave us a good laugh!

This place is a perfect little get away everyone needs right now. They have delicious wines, fresh food, ample seating and live music. FYI dogs are also allowed here. Will definitely be visiting again.

Hi quality wines. Great service! Twice a year the owner does BBQ wine pairing. 40 bucks 2 appetizers, dinner with great fixings and dessert. This year was spectacular! Visit you won't be disappointed!

A very cozy and cool place. To visit. The wine is delicious and the art they feature there I feel is nice and fairly priced. The grounds are very nice too and offer you a quaint little walk to go and enjoy everything at your own pace.

We have visited in the past and enjoyed the wines and brought our own snacks. On our most recent visit, we were not aware that their policy had changed on bringing outside food. We were treated in a very curt, abrupt manner which made us feel very unwelcome. Only winery I've ever been to that went from allowing outside food to not allowing it. Plenty of wineries sell food but still allow customers to bring their own. We finished our wine & left. Will not be returning.

Came here on a mini fam vacay and it was so lovely. Definitely come on a good weather day because the view you get of the vineyard the silo and the farm across the street is so nice. We liked the ground level table by the flower bushes very pretty! The wine flight was a good and affordable plus there cheese platter was very yummy. Only thing was there wasn't a ton of choices for the wines or cheeses or sliced meat. But other than that the experience was so lovely; we watched hawks, drank, laughed and took a nice stroll along the vineyard as well.

Some tasty fruit wines in on beautiful grounds. We really liked the authentic look of the tasting room, ordered a really nice cheese platter and sat under a tree while enjoying the views .

Scenic, cozy family-run wine with a picturesque view of the mountains. Almost all the fruit is grown on premise with the exception of some grapes which are from the region. There are some creative wines made from the raspberries, rhubarb and other fruit that pair nicely with the cheese platters and charcuterie that is available to. Check the schedule for live music and pizza night!

Whiskey and spirits tastings and cocktails in a rustic setting, plenty of outdoor seating. We did a whiskey tasting which consisted of 5 whiskeys or spirits of your choice for $12. You get a glass to take home as well. Staff was very friendly. Clean restrooms, free WiFi. We will definitely be back, would like to try their cocktails

This was a chill place with friendly staff. They had outside seating near a creak, and inside seating. The whiskey was good. But the cat, the cat was awesome. Loved belly rubs and being loved. It was so fat and cute! A real nice barn cat. There is also a taco truck outside

We had such a wonderful time doing a private tour and whiskey tasting on Sunday! Rachel was fantastic, fun, and full of facts. Walking into the warehouse and smelling all the barrels was like getting a warm hug. The whiskeys were delicious. Everyone had their own favorites, I cast my vote for the Sherry cask and 7yr. Would recommend to anyone, and will gladly go back!

We happened to be in the area and stopped by for a look. I did a sampling of the whiskeys and was quite impressed. The area and the property are very beautiful. The staff was very knowledgeable and very attentive. I couldn't have asked for a better experience.

This is the distillery of hudson whiskies and some craft gins, vodkas and liquers, their stuff is pretty good, the have beers and ciders from local breweries & craft cocktails

Loved the tour and the bar! Everyone was warm and welcoming. I’m not a whiskey drinker but I learned the difference (in knowledge and taste!) of bourbon vs rye. The flight is really cute, comes in little vials and a glass that you can take home.

Good self guided tasting! 20 dollars for 6 mini sample bottles of their current releases(out of 8 or 9 that you can choose from). Nice laid back tasting room and bar that you can drink the samples or order specialty cocktails made with Hudson Whiskey. You get to keep the Hudson Whiskey rocks glass as a souvenir as well the samples bottles

Lots of unique options including alcoholic beverages with rose or pomegranate boba. Staff is very nice. Beautiful seating area outside along the river, peaceful.

Our experience at Tuthilltown Distillery was truly exceptional, largely thanks to Matt's outstanding tour presentation. His extensive knowledge, engaging demeanor, friendliness, and welcoming attitude made the tour thoroughly enjoyable. The Hudson whiskey selection surpassed expectations, offering a diverse and impressive range. We left eager to return and explore more. Kudos not only to Matt but also to the entire staff at Tuthilltown Distillery for creating a welcoming atmosphere. An extra perk was the convenience of free EV charging, showcasing their commitment to a positive and forward-thinking visitor experience.

What better thing to do when the wind chill factor tries to keep you indoor than to visit a distillery. Enjoyed a few hours at Tuthilltown Distillery and the 7 samples I tried in the tasting room. I ended up with 2 bottles that I couldn’t walk away from and some gifts (shot glasses) generously given to us by the staff. The staff were welcoming and friendly and knowledgeable. Do plan to return for the tour provided once the weather is better. Until then, have my 2 bottles to have at home…

We came here for a quick whiskey tasting, and we enjoyed ourselves very much. Our bartender (forgot her name, but she was lovely) was extremely knowledgeable and helped guide us into choosing the 6 spirits we could try. We ended up doing 3 and 3 and sharing the vials. You also get complimentary rocks glasses. We had a fun experience trying the spirits but what really made us enjoy the place was the specialty cocktails they have, and the personalities of the employees. Everyone working there was so friendly and welcoming and we felt right at home. I wish I had written down the names of the drinks we had, but one of them was like a breakfast cocktail in terms of taste (bacon, pancakes, maple syrup, and even had a whole egg in it as well). The other was one with ginger beer and apple vodka. We loved both of our drinks. They tasted fantastic and had beautiful presentation.This place was lovely overall. Again, as much as we liked our tasting, it was the interaction with the employees and the cocktails that really stood out. The ambiance of the bar added to that. It was clean, quiet, and relaxing. Next time we plan to do the full tour of the distillery, which we didn't have time to do that day. Definitely check them out!

Authentic craft distillery, first in NYS since Prohibition. Located at 1788 Historic Tuthilltown Gristmill. Responsible for passage of the precedent setting FARM DISTILLERY ACT which reclassifies small craft distilleries as a Farm Use leading to the rebirth of agricultural distilling of NY grains and fruits.

We did the whisky 🥃 distillery tour and tasting yesterday and we had a good time!A good experience for sure, thanks to Mac our guide. We enjoyed the candidness and the humor of our tour with him. Definitely leaving with a better appreciation of the distillery process 😉Wish to come back in cooler months so we can linger outdoors. cocktails were great btw! Our faves where sense and sensibility (gin based) and Seed Spittin’ with the coconut water, watermelon and whisky - so refreshing! Great for summer! 🥃

Lovely tours and great drinks awesome staff.

We had such a phenomenal time on our whiskey tour. The two of us love learning new things about the whiskey-making process, and on this tour Mac was dropping knowledge left, right and center. On top of that, he was so personable, answered all our questions, and had a sense of humor that made the experience a delight. We had the opportunity to try 2 bourbons straight from the barrels, one from 3 years ago, and one that was just a few months old. This is a special way to get closer to the art of whiskey, seeing how the aging really changes the profile of the bourbon. And it's not something you get to do at every distillery, so that was special!Tuthilltown Spirits is making quality whiskeys, gins & more, and on top of it all they have a creative and delicious cocktail menu spun up by their team. We’ll definitely be back, and would recommend to anyone looking for hyperlocal craft whiskey distilling.

The whole of the northeast region of the US has benefitted from Tuthilltown being in operation. And visiting the place where the magic happens does not disappoint. They've expanded their operations and adapted to the current situation and restrictions by creating a large outdoor patio seating area where you can sample products, enjoy cocktails and snacks, and generally soak up the peace, calm, and quiet of the soothing Shawangunk countryside. To be sure, Tuthilltown creates some of the best spirits available on the market, and this is the place to not only sample them, but purchase them on site at a hefty discount than what you'll find them priced at your local store. Plus they also have liqueurs and special editions not available anywhere else but at this location. Staff is friendly, welcoming, and informative. And be sure to pet or at least take a picture of Bourbon the cat, who doesn't deal well with the heat (since, you know, he's covered in fur). Stay tuned to find out when their restaurant, Char 1788, will reopen. Can't wait.

The bourbon was amazing. The vibe of this place was outstanding. But by far, the highlight was the exceptional service that we received. A memorable, special evening. Special thanks to Rachael who took great care of us out-of-towners!

A must-see. The art work is stimulating and the artist and her assistant are friendly and inviting. A great place to bring that budding artist in your family, or spend a rainy day enjoying the art work and going into town for lunch. Coming from a family of artists I can say with confidence that I would buy her artwork in a second. In fact, I think I will!

So glad we were able to visit the gallery during our trip! To be honest, I was drawn first by the complimentary wine/espresso, but the experience itself exceeded my expectation.We received a warm welcome from Donna's business partner Ken when we arrived on a quiet Sunday morning - he gave us a quick tour of the gallery, showed us the print machine that can reproduce artworks on canvas, and took us to see Donna's art studio. It is not everyday you can be inside an artist's work space to witness all the creativity! As an added bonus, we saw two young deers nippling at the grass outside the studio..Donna's paintings were very colorful and each piece has an interesting story behind. The gallery was very spacious and you can really take your time to soak in the art work with a glass of wine!Highly recommended for anyone visiting New Paltz.

Impressive, gorgeous gallery in New Paltz! I was in the area visiting friends and decided to check this place out based on their recommendation. Yes, it's a little off the beaten path, but is so worth the scenic drive! The space is vast and beautiful. I wouldn't call myself a modern art expert by any means, but was taken by the use of bold color and texture. Donna's work is joyful and full of life, so it seems fitting that the paintings have room to breathe in this spacious layout.While some galleries can seem stuck up or cold, this one is quite the opposite. Donna (and gallery manager Ken) are more than happy to give you a personal guided tour, and Donna will share the origins and inspiration for her work. Don't be intimidated if you aren't an artist or don't know much about it -- you will still enjoy this gallery!

So happy I discovered this place. How wonderful it is to feel like you've stumbled upon the Hudson Valley's best kept secret. My husband and I popped in not expecting to spend the rest of our afternoon at the gallery. We enjoyed wine while speaking to the artist herself (such a down to earth, inclusive artist--a rarity these days). It was such a unique experience and I can't wait to return.

One doesn't always have to travel far to find a hidden treasure. I have lived in Gardiner for almost 40 years and recently discovered the wonderful DM Weil Gallery on Bruynswick Rd. The space is gorgeous, the artist engaging and her work captivating. In addition to a wide array of pieces (originals and prints) available at a variety of price points she offers unique art experiences for children and adults. The idea of spending a day with the artist - lunch, wine and creative expression included - has me alerting my friends and family to my latest addition to my birthday wishlist! Bottom line whether you have lived here all your life, find yourself in the area or are looking for a day trip make your way to DM Weil Gallery.

I first visited the gallery as a guest and loved the experience since I am an artist myself. Eventually I was given the opportunity to work at the gallery for a day to help the owners out and it was amazing. i was taught how to print, take detailed pictures and edit pieces of art. I learned a lot and got to immerse myself in another artists world. I got to tour the gallery myself and it is colorful and so fun to look at. I also was allowed to see DM’s studio which was really amazing, I loved seeing the hundred tubes of paint and her pieces that were in progress. I would 100% recommend visiting the gallery. It was fun and interesting and i thoroughly enjoyed having the experience of socializing with customers and seeing the art.

We stopped by this gallery because we needed some indoor activity near New Paltz on a rainy day and then wished we had stopped anyway. This gallery of abstract art is really accessible. You don't need to know anything about art to enjoy the very colorful pieces exposed. Plus they sell reproductions making it possible for many people to purchase something and bring some art home! We were nicely welcomed, offered a cup of espresso, explained how the gallery was setup and had the opportunity to chat with the artist! I highly recommend this gallery!

This had been on my to-do list for many years and I was glad I was finally able to get there! The views are absolutely astounding and I loved the factoids featured on the walkway every so often. Apparently street parking is free though the parking lot closest to the walkway on the Poughkeepsie side is paid. There is a restroom at the beginning. I enjoyed the busker sitting outside playing for passers-by. I highly recommend it if you're in the area or want to take a road trip!

Walking along the bridge was an enriching experience that seamlessly weaved together history, natural beauty, and pet-friendly charm. Great walkable bridge, with a lot of history behind. The bridge has two different entrances, one east and one west.The parking cost is $7, and the entrance is free. Gate closes at 7:30pm. A plus, the bridge is supposedly to be smoking free.You can either cross it by walk, bike, roller skates, etc. It is nice to enjoy a sunset time with family and friends, gorgeous views.. and signs all over, telling you more about how it was built and remarks. There are accessible restrooms by the entrance.

We stopped at the Walkway Over the Hudson on our way to Vermont, and it was so worth it! With wonderful views as far as your eyes can see, it is a pleasant and long (it is the longest elevated pedestrian bridge in the world) walk across the bridge. It does get windy and cold on top of the bridge!Parking: We had trouble finding a good parking spot, so either search for the walkway over Hudson parking on Google maps or there is paid parking available at the mid-Hudson discovery museum. The elevator to the top of the bridge is a short walk from the museum parking lot.Clean restrooms are available at the point where the bridge begins. There was also a food truck selling some tidbits close to this point.Overall, we enjoyed our experience on the walkway and exploring the surrounding areas.

This was a beautiful walk. If you follow the trail, it actually crosses both bridges. The railway bridge is gorgeous and pedestrian only, the FDR bridge is super cool because you can experience the “Bridge Music” both bridges have amazing views of the river and the other bridge. The park is very well kept and the restrooms are very clean. After you’re done l, check out Franny Reese park under the FDR bridge for a gorgeous scenic hike.

Nice day so we went for walk with the wifey and mother in law that is in a wheel chair. This is relevant as you have to be careful as there are wider ones and they are marked in yellow. This would also be helpful to know with kids on scooters. So there are bathrooms and water fountains along with dog poop bags and waste containers on both sides and a seasonal gift shop. Please curb your dog and don’t ruin it for the rest of us!

Perfect to spend a couple of hourswalking/biking. There are plenty of restaurants too around that area and a nice children's museum next to the water

The Hudson River flows from the Canada region to the Atlantic Ocean, passing through the New York City area. Interestingly, the river's current flows both north and south, with a strong flow in both directions.*Parking and Amenities*Upon arrival, we found convenient paid parking and EV charging stations on the property. There's also additional parking available under the bridge on Park Avenue. We opted to park on the upper level, which was more convenient for our walk.*Preparation and Safety*Before starting our walk, we made sure to take necessary precautions: sunscreen, sunglasses, water bottles, proper dressing, hats, and caps. The administrative office provided helpful information, and restrooms were available for both men and women.*The Walk*The walkway stretches 1,000 feet to the bridge, with benches and shaded areas along the way. The bridge and walkway in the are approximately 22 feet wide, accommodating day trippers, cyclists, walkers, and joggers. The views of the Hudson River are simply fantastic, with a 1.8-mile one-way or 2.6-mile two-way journey.*Nearby Attractions*After our walk, we visited the nearby Awosting Falls, & Water Reservoir just a 15-minute drive away. If you're from New York City or Long Island, you can easily complete this trip from 9 am to 8 pm.*Recommendation*We highly recommend this day trip to Walkway Over the Hudson. Enjoy the scenic views, convenient amenities, and nearby attractions. Don't forget to take necessary precautions and make the most of your 3-hour visit!

Nice walk and beautiful views, some benches and tables on one end of the bridge to sit take a rest and enjoy some snacks.

Standing 212 feet above the Hudson River’s surface and is 6,768 feet (1.28 miles) long, this is the longest, elevated pedestrian bridge in the world with the views from the Hudson Highlands to the Catskills. The Walkway Over the Hudson State Historic Park, whose one of the entrances is located off of Parker Avenue in Poughkeepsie, where my partner, his family and I came today after 2 years. This former railroad bridge built in 1888 is ideal for walkers, joggers, cyclists, and rollerbladers. We walked the entire bridge and back, with a few photo stops in between. From a height of 21 stories, we managed to catch the activities from jet skiers to boaters on the river and the long freight trains hauling their cargo to their next destination. There were benches in a couple of spots along the bridge as a place to rest tired feet for a few minutes. What an absolutely fabulous way to spend a few hours.

Took some girlfriends to the Walkway, it was their first time there. There was an event going on that I didn’t know so it was an extra surprise for us. The weather was very comfortable to do the walkway too.

At 1.28 miles, this is the longest elevated pedestrian walkway in the world. Amazing views of the Hudson River. Great for a stroll or bike ride. Friendly volunteers at both the East and West Gates. The Sojourner Truth statue, at the west entrance, is inspiring. Definitely worth a visit!

I was unexpectedly impressed by this site, both by its size and the distance of the trail (over a mile across from end to end, and that is not just the over-water portion). I'd known of its existence for a long time, and I recall the buzz around its opening. My wife had wanted to visit for years but it was always a bit out of the way. We really enjoyed it and spent a good two hours walking across and back again (we parked on the Poughkeepsie side). And I very much enjoyed the views of the the distant Catskills to the north as well as those of Bear Mountain and The Hudson Highlands. As an amateur historian I also found the interpretive signs wonderful, which told the story of the bridge's origins as a railroad bridge, the first of its kind across the Hudson. Well worth the visit.

First time visiting this walkway. Beautiful experience. Nice place to get your steps in. Amazing view. Would recommend doing it on a day that is not too hot or in the evening. They do close the gate at I believe 7:30pm. We had just made it back to the Poughkeepsie side just before the gates close. Great place to take pics with your loved ones. Wear comfortable 👟 sneakers. Would definitely do it again.

I came here on the recommendation of a local friend. It's a great place for a walk. I was a bit confused by the sign saying it closes at 7 pm. I arrived at 7 pm and saw about a dozen people entering. My friend later told me the staff will kick people out when they're getting ready to close. There is a parking lot near the entrance, or you can park nearby on the street.

Gorgeous views of the Hudson River. A nice walk. Tables, chairs, shade, and restrooms on both sides. Recommend going in the morning as it can get quite hot in the afternoon. Convenient parking on the Poughkeepsie side for $7.

Very nice, well maintained and staffed pedestrian bridge. Roughly a three mile round trip walk. The structure itself is very impressive and offers greats views on the surroundings including the Mid-Hudson bridge to the South. There are restrooms on either side of the walkway and there is an elevator to get down to Upper Landing Park on the East side of the walkway.

Good straight shot across the river , wonderful view of the Hudson River, complete with small posters on the side to show snippets of history and the becoming of the town/city. Does get pretty windy in the middle of the bridge , but a nice and safe place for a stroll or a quick jog/ even lunch/picnic.

What an absolutely fabulous way to spend a morning. Our visit was off season with a breeze, but the brisk walk helped warm us up.Spectacular views up and down the Hudson. We saw trains and Amtrak doing there thing.Be sure to watch the banks of the river for mountain streams and waterfalls.Pondering the history and all the material this bridge carried over the years is simply mind boggling. With a peek of one train per hour in the war years, this area must have been a buzz of activity.The bathrooms were well kept, way finding and signage was excellent.Our extended family throughly enjoyed our visit here and I highly recommend stopping here when visiting.

Views are amazing. There is an elevator on the Duchess County side. The Ulster County side has bathrooms at the end, a gift shop and a couple of food trucks. There is also a parking lot and access to the rail trail. Did not reach the end on the Duchess side but took elevator as it began to rain and thunder. They will close the bridge during inclement weather.

Have come here for years. Always a lovely experience.Only flaw is the fee, which has risen in just the last 5 years. It was free, then $7 a car, now it is $10 per person!! Pretty ridiculous. If you’re a family of 5 that’s $50 just to take a walk.Otherwise, this is a beautiful place. Pack a picnic and stay awhile for the price! The view is worth the time. And bring a bug repellent. You’ll need it.

Amazing place, Beautiful landscaping and awesome place to take some pictures of family or the landscape.The area is very well taken care of and beautifully crafted.some of the walking areas could be better maintained.

A very simple garden that brings back some memories while in Japan.Luckily they do provide a map but they don't post any trail markers so the map is virtually useless. Trying to figure out what is what is a guessing game.It's definitely a nice place to walk around and disconnect.

Gorgeous views, easy walk (even for children). There are so many things to explore! It took us a little over an hour to complete the loop. They have picnic tables, you have to bring your own food but they do sell water. Porta potties are by the parking lot.

Well we have been coming here since I was a kid. We got to see the house back then it was beautiful then. Omg it's still peaceful and beautiful we shared this with Mt aunt and cousin last Thursday we had such a great time the flowers and birds did not disappoint we all loved it. Remarkable gardens. Beautifully maintained. Peaceful and tranquil when I visited on an early June Friday. Lots of nooks and crannies to explore.Note: some paths are less suitable for folks with difficulty walking on uneven surfaces.

Don't expect flowers, but the gardens are very nicely done. There are lots of sitting areas and a place to picnic as well. There is a huge eagles nest right now and it is worth viewing. It is right above the water spout feature on the left side.

9.16.22 We drove 1.5 hours from CT, paid the $10pp entrance fee, and absolutely loved thus tranquil, beautiful area. Without reading much about this place I assumed by garden, it would be a floral garden. That it is not. Instead, all around this beautiful pond, you'll find unique trees, Asian inspired rock, plant gardens. The walk around the pond itself is probably just a mile long. You'll find many benches and spots to sit and relax and enjoy the serenity. It's great for all ages. It's especially great for painters and photographers. Enjoy.

One of the most beautiful gardens you have ever seen. Has Chinese and Japanese influences. There is a lake.Visit here but it is not baby carriage or stroller friendly due to the terrain

It's a big garden to explore. Very peaceful and you feel serenity right away while you are walking around. During our visit, not too many people but still gotta wait for people to leave a certain spot when taking pics on specific angle. It's $10pp for the entrance fee via online, spacious parking spot. You have to drive very deep inside to get to the entrance. At one point I thought I got lost, took my parents with me during my visit. We all loved the place and we brought some food with us to eat there for lunch. There are benches for picnics in certain areas, not all areas you can eat at. Recommended to visit if you are in the area.

The beauty of this place is amazing.Today, I saw many turtles 🐢 and a Blur Haron. If you can visit, you must!!!

Just a lovely experience all around. It was a super hot day when my daughter and I went and I was a little under the weather but they have magical places to sit and rest, ponder and contemplate. The topography is beautiful and interesting with plenty to look at. You could spend all day easily here and not be bored.

Surprising find on our way up to Vermont. A bit costly at $10 a person for the visit, but it was a beautiful place to walk around for an hour. However the brochure described it as “one of the 10 best gardens in the world,” which seemed a bit far fetched and could not be backed up online with more research. I would recommend it though

A wonderful relaxing place! Beautiful outdoor gardens. The people who worked there were friendly and everyone was in great spirits. We saw an eaglet prior to fledging in a giant nest! See picture below.

Gorgeous garden decorated in an Asian style. Lovely bowers and rockworks throughout. Flocks of geese and an ærie nestled in the tree tops. Lake with lilypads, a footbridge and a refreshing fountain sculpture.

I booked on line,I arrived and it's still not crowded Saturday AM, the ladies at the welcome booth were super friendly and explained the different paths you can take , they did offer a free guided tour,at 10:30, but I declined. Grounds were beautifully kept, quiet,the walk took about an hour and a half,so much to see the bridge over the water was awesome. I'm going back in the fall , as I think with all the trees it's going to be stunning. Highly recommend this place.

I’m making it my mission to get the average Capital District resident to at the very least have heard of this Magical place! 🧚‍♀️ It’s considered to be one of the 5 most beautiful gardens IN THE WORLD! 🌍 And yet not one person I have ever mentioned Inisfree to has ever even heard of it. The photos don’t do it justice. I’ve been there in Early Spring, mid Summer and in the Fall. Each season delivered it’s own beauty with the Native plants, bushes and Trees. Definitely bring a picnic!

Worth visiting! A quiet and still place perfect for strolling. Some spots of incline and stairs.
